Celebrated in the month of January where fest offers and a grander ceremony to be held. Roman Catholics praise the baby Jesus by offering colorful clothing and graceful dances. Not just a single small village or a Brgy. that joins the celebration but nationwide. But for everyone's information, the biggest celebration can be found in Cebu City. Though there are small villages that have a patron Saint of baby Jesus Christ. They are also celebrating this grandest festive celebration in the country Philippines.
Witness the colorful dress while enjoying the joyful instrument playing the sound of sinulog. I found myself roaming in the Brgy. or small village of Estrella in the town of Pintuyan, Southern Leyte Philippines. Like me, there were locals who were enjoying the celebration. Although I’m sure, before they attended the celebration they came from a fest of a house they knew. Of course, it is still a festive where food is offered to everyone to eat and enjoy.
Additional information:
After the people who wore colorful costumes or clothings. There will be dancing for everyone to enjoy. Not like in bars where DJs’ that plays the music. In Sinulog, the music is being played with specific instruments like drums and some more. It will be played live so it would be nice to enjoy the feeling of being able to join Sinulog. It’s not just fun but for us Roman Catholics, it is sacred as well.

The celebration was welcomed with a drum and bugle corps together with the dancers or also known as twirlers. Their joyful music and graceful dance was loved by the people or watchers or audiences that they didn’t miss a single performance.
Next was the presentation of the Sinulog dances. There you’d see the colorful and beautiful clothings. Not just the clothings was amazing but also the people who participated. Their dedication to dance gracefully from their untiring dance and endless smile.
The celebration ended with a presentation of locals or the citizens in that small village. It was simple but quite interesting and fun too. Well, the most captivating truth was their colorful costume again.
So, the for me as a photographer, it ended with a photograph as always. Click and click when someone called for a free photograph. lol
