After the Tune Up and Repainting, She's Back On Track Again, And So Is Mom

Mom really gives too much value to the things she has accumulated through her hard work. She gave importance to it, just as she gave importance to the people for whom she cared. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. I know too how thankful she really is for those things that have helped her a lot in what she has become and in her years doing her business and achieving her goals. And you know, even those simple kitchen appliances, or her old washing machine and oven, she took care of them just until she decided to finally let go of them.

She gets mad too if we suggest that she should sell some of her old stuff, but she would just always reply, "You can sell them all once I die, do whatever you want with it. But not today." That's just how she is. Actually, she still has some of her old stuff in our storage room, fortunately, most of it was already sold before it completely rotted. Maybe she finally realizes that, instead of making it rot in our storage room, she could pass it on to others and sell it so that it can still be used by other people, they can put it to good use by doing so.

There is just this one thing that she can never let go of. She loves it so much that she is willing to spend a lot of money on it. Sometimes I question her decision, but who am I to really give an opinion about it? It's not like I'm the one spending on it. Even if she can't really drive it as often as she would before, she will spend a lot of money on it to make it look cooler again, sparkling with its own beauty.

Ever since, the love she pours on this particular one has been too much, even if it's too much, it doesn't matter because that's just how she is. I remember before the pandemic hit the world, she spent 10,000 PHP, or $176.18 at today's rate, just for that thing, her Kawasaki Tricycle. For the tune-up and some repairs on other parts. She will spend more on it if she hires someone to repaint the whole thing, but we just do that ourselves.

Everything is good again, it looks pretty and cool again with its new color, and with the repair that was done on the tricycle, it is all showing. But in the end, it got stuck in our little garage, and it became just a playground and a resting place for our cat. You know how good at scratching those cats are.

They really put my mom's tricycle to good use and created a huge mess in it. Also, it was stuck for such a long time that some parts got rusty already. I feel like our hard work on repainting was all for naught, lol. She didn't have the time to drive it for a long time, as we were stuck at home since the pandemic.

But then last month, this year, we began repainting it again. We do it slowly, though, and will only do it in our free time. After it was all done, she spent another 7,000 PHP plus on it again for the tune-up, buying some parts like the gas tank, the seat cushion, and many more. That was 123.33 in dollars.

She has the money because she was able to sell her gold necklace for 20k. I asked Mom again why you should spend money on it again if you can't drive it anymore. But she just replied, "I can drive it, I know my body." Arghhh, again, who am I to question it? We just let her ╮(^▽^)╭ lol.

Then the time came, and she finally tried to drive it again. She's asking me to come with her at that time, but I decline. It's not like I don't trust her driving skills, it's just that her knees can sometimes be a problem, so I don't know. So Mama accompanied her, she just drove into the nearby health center to get a free medicine. She takes amlodipine as her maintenance, and she could get that for free in the health center here at our place. It is really not that far from here, so we allow her to drive. Mommy F is like a kid who's so eager to try her new toy. No one can stop her.

Fortunately, they arrived home unscathed and safe. Mom is still a cool driver, I see, lol. I'm teasing her once she gets home, but she just laughed and said, "I can still drive, heh." She's pushing me to learn driving, but I said, "No." I will only learn it if the one who will teach me is a female, lol. I don't know, that's just what I prefer, lol. Also, it's kind of uncomfortable if it's a guy who'll teach me.

And look how happy Mom is, as she was able to drive her tricycle again. It is maybe an old model of a tricycle, but the things it has done for Mom are immeasurable. And it is maybe old, but there's no problem with its engine. That's why when you drive it, it is still as smooth as ever.

What do you say? It is a pretty tricycle, yeah?

I have always been afraid to drive tricycles your mom teaches them the value of things that maybe she got them with a lot of sacrifice, I love your mom's happiness for driving again.

But how about a car?

Yes that's right, and me too, i am so happy to watch her being that happy ( ◜‿◝ )♡

I guess most moms do that hehehe I'm glad your mom is full of vigor whenever she drives her tricycle. My mother also has a hard time giving away or selling her stuff because she worked hard to buy those and they have some sentimental value.😊

Right? Haha, as long as they can still use it, they'll never let go of it, lol. And yes, the sentimental value and their memories too, with it.

She's happy with that, all we can do is to support her. 😁

Yah, that's all we can do. But, Mommy D is nagging at her na huwag mag drive. Mommy F can't do anything about it, lok. Pinag aawayan nila yan, lol. Nakakatakot din kasi mag drive ang Mommy D, kaskasero ba, lol

It's so clears,
she treasures the tricycle so much that can't just let go.

The fact that she's still driving and not scared is so amazing 🙌

Right, she really treasure it, and this Tricycle is also like her happy pill.

Ayan. Rangkada ulit . ..practice ka magdrive hehe

Hahaha ina udyukan nga ko ni mommy, mag aral daw ako. Kaso ayaw ko, ahaha, gusto ko kasi babae magtuturo sakin ee di namsn na sya pwd mag turo lol

WOW so nice! I think it's very funny to move around with that "moving tool" :D

Hehehe (≧▽≦)

Either it is an old tricycle or new tricycle the most important thing is that your mum is happy and the engine is intact.

You said it ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ Mom really is the happiest when she finally held again
( ◜‿◝ )♡

The tricycle is awesome is so nice

Thank You ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

It is such a spectacular tricycle! I love it! I think I'll go for your mom to take me on her tricycle 〜(꒪꒳꒪)〜 (~‾▿‾)~.
Your mom looks super happy in it 😄

She looks so cool on her tricycle..lol.
The steady maintenance of the tricycle makes has kept the engine and other parts in good condition.

Right? But her partner won't allow her to drive as od now, she feel so anxious whenever Mom Drive coz she is a real reckless driver (≧▽≦)

Yes, that too, that's why Mom really spend for that tricycle.
