And just like that, the year ended in a flash and the new one began. My new year is so different from the previous one because I'm away from home. It is so refreshing to celebrate Christmas differently and in a different place. Although what we did is also not that different from how we do it at home, still, it feels really new, exciting, and lovely. And I welcome the new year with a happy heart in this tiny room of my little brother where we fit ourselves in, lol.

My brother went alone to the market yesterday to get the ingredients we need for the dish we want to prepare. He also bought a few things for his "Prosperity Bowl." We are planning to make Meaty Spaghetti and Caldereta to share on New Year's Eve. Actually, that spaghetti is a request from my brother. It's my favorite pasta recipe, so I approved. Hehe.
Mama did the cooking while I took care of this thing. All I did was blow it to make a number out of it. We stick it to the wall later, near our table.
Here's the prosperity bowl that my brother is preparing. I actually had no idea about the prosperity bowl. At home, all we do is put rice, water, salt, and coins in a cup, and then we'll put it on the table. That's the tradition, I know, the one that we still do until now. How about in your place, your country?
Here's the ground pork and hatdog for the spaghetti. The other porky was cut into smaller size, and that's for the Caldereta, yum, yum!
