I'm not sure if it is just the memories I had with it, and I've been with it since my college days, but I'm still having a hard time throwing away my old shoes and sandals. Some of them are really old because I had them while I was still in college, some are already worn out and messy, but they can still be used if I choose to. I'm still keeping them because I don't want to throw them away yet.
I guess I also get this from my mommy F - keeping her old things because she has a lot of good memories with them. It kind of sounds weird, but yeah, I'm still keeping "old stuff" too. How about you? Except for those that are already broken and have holes that I have already thrown, those that are still usable are still in my storage box. I can't give them away either, because no one will accept them, that's for sure. I mean, it's old shoes and sandals, lol.
Let me share some of them with all of you as I model them. Wearing them made me remember how I got to own those sandals and shoes. Most of them were bought using Mom's money, while I got the two sandals in installments (paid for them with my allowance) and bought the other one using my own allowance too. Yeah, I still got them using Mom's money, lol. But she already gave it to me, so basically, I bought it using "my money." Lol. ╮(^▽^)╭
Let's start with this. I got it in installments from my classmate. I have this classmate from college who sells different kinds of things, from foods to clothes. She also sells products from Avon and Natasha, she's one hardworking woman, I tell you! So, when I first saw this sandal, I fell in love with it immediately. Especially with its design and color. Since then, it has become my favorite footwear, and I will wear it every chance that I get. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I have this habit that when I get home and I like that pair of sandals or shoes, I will not take them off immediately and will admire them first until I get tired of them. Is it just me? Lol.
When I wore it, my feet became so pretty in my eyes. And I think that color can make my foot look a little whiter. It's sad that I don't have a photo when I'm wearing it. It looks cooler when I have nail polish on. And the design - gosh, it's my first time seeing this kind of design. And this is also the last. I haven't encountered this kind of design yet after this one. How about in your place? If ever I see one again, I'll surely order again!
Next is this! I got it on the same person as the first one - in installment too! I remember liking it too after seeing one of my classmates wearing it. When I saw it, I immediately asked that classmate of mine, like how much and where did she get it? After getting the answer, not long after that, I also made the same order. Same design and color ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ. I'm not sure if it has another color, though. I never check.
I mean, just look how pretty it is. It looks so wonderful, and I think it looks pretty on my foot. Do you agree or not? Hahaha. Maybe I'm just being delusional. But seriously, I so love it! I don't wear this anymore because the leather is kind of marupok na, just like someone I know, eherm, lol. I don't have a plan to throw it now, not yet. I don't want to let go! No never!
Next is this, another favorite. All of those I bought using my money are "my favorites," just to let you know. This one is a bit different from the rest because I could wear it rain or shine. It is made of a material where I can walk even when it's raining. It's kind of hard and slippery too, especially in concrete and grasses, but I never fall to the ground while wearing it, so it's a good sandal.
Tadaaaa! Actually, this one still works fine. Even though I have worn it already like a hundred times or more, I just stopped wearing it once I graduated from college. I really thought I could still wear it, like, you know, as an employee or something. Sadly, I never found a job, and those sandals were just stuck in my storage box.
Now, let me share this shoes this time. It's Bibo shoes, a really good brand of shoes - that's according to my oldies. I heard that the day we bought it. The price was more than 1000 PHP during that time. I'm a little bit hesitant to get it and insisted on getting another brand where we can save more, but Mom pushes me to get it. I can understand her though, because no shoe brand can last to my feet. It's not even the end of term yet, but my shoes are already worn out and about to give up on me. Lol.
And I don't regret getting this brand because, surprisingly, these are the only shoes that lasted for me for a very long time until I graduated from college. It's a good brand, I can vouch for that, but I am not sure if it's still the same today.
Now with this wedge sandal, it's actually a gift from Mommy D., a graduation gift, to be precise. And yes, I only wore it once. After graduation, I never wore it again. I think it got stuck in my storage box, and after just 2 to 3 years, the sandals became like this. It's actually cheap, and it doesn't cost that much, so I understand why it broke earlier compared to others. And maybe getting locked up inside a storage box is really bad for leather sandals. Just maybe.
So I have already graduated from college. But I didn't look for a job even after that. I only try to find it after my first nasal polyp removal. And I bought this during the time that I was applying for that job. I planned to wear it to work and then replace it with my working sandals, which is a requirement in that mall. Sadly, I only wore this twice. Lol. The first is when I work for a day at Robinson Mall in Lipa, and the second is when I also apply at City Hall in our town. I haven't shared about that here. I'll share that maybe one day, ehe.
This is the pair of working sandals with that I'm talking. They have a dress code in there, from underwear to the clothes and the footwear, lol. I only wore this once. It still looks very much okay. I'm planning to give this to my sister-in-law but I forgot when they visited Mindoro last time.
And lastly, another favorite because it was a gift from my late sister. Or, more like, I force her to give it to me as a gift, lol. I requested it from her, and she gave me two. That is why I am so grateful. These are the sandals I often wear that I pair with my pants. I don't use them now that often, but I'd really rather not use them and just keep them as the last gift from my Ate Riza.
And that's all! I've been keeping some of them for like 8 to 10 years now. And I will continue keeping them as long as there is space in my storage box. (≧▽≦)
