Street dancing is one of the special activities in our town during Fiesta. People always look forward to it, especially with their colorful costumes and their amazing performances, where everyone is really giving their best to perform. And it is literally street dancing because after the Bansudani in place performance, they will dance on the street to show it to everyone.
This year, street dancing consists of elementary students only. It was supposed to be with high school students too, but I'm not sure why elementary students are the only performers this year. But even if there's only a few of them, their performance is still fire! To anyone who hasn't seen the gathering with family and friends before the main event, you can read that HERE.
We can hear on the radio about the in-place competition that happened in one of the public elementary schools in our town. And as to what I've heard, there are 12 performers from different schools this year. That's still a lot. And right after they finish the performance, they immediately proceed to the street dancing.
I just noticed this two-person couple here wearing the same shirt who's also waiting for the street dancing in front of our store. They have been here for like 20 minutes, maybe they also have a relative who will be performing in the street dancing later. I just noticed them because they look cute together.
The start! I got the chance to hold our mayor's hand when we saw him participating in the parade. He is in front of those people here, and we can see his satisfaction in his face, maybe because a lot of people are participating in these special events. Because look at these people, there's a lot of them. But, sadly, this is still a few compared to the recent years when it's been hard to walk by because of the flood of people. But well, this is still better than nothing. And maybe they already watch the in-place competition, that's why maybe some decide not to watch the street dancing anymore.
Here's number one with their cool costume. I'm not really sure what school they were from, but they perform well too. Those little kids can really focus if they want to. It's so wonderful to see those kids participating in this kind of activity. I enjoy their performance, even though they kind of need more energy, but still, it's good. Maybe they are already tired from dancing in the in-place competition.
This is performer number two. I love their energy, they are more energized than the first one. Well, maybe because they know that the judges are upstairs watching them. They should really give their all if they want to be noticed. The girl holding the "Poon" or the "Santo Niño" dances gracefully too. I can't even take a proper photo of her. But overall, their performance is awesome.
Here's performer number 3 with their pretty costume too. Seriously though, their outfit looks amazing, so it's their performance that they have to work on. But this too had an amazing performance. I mean, for sure, all of them gave their best.
This is performer number 4, and they are kind of in low battery mode in here already. But when they also saw the judge in the next building, they started to move gracefully. But not all, because you can already see that some are tired already. And you can also see the adult in the last part. They are the teachers, I am not sure why they joined, but maybe as a support to their students. They looks good too wearing their gown.
And the performer number five couldn't take more photos of them because I noticed that more of them were wearing gowns, so my focus was on them rather than the dancers. But I think they also have an awesome performance in here. They are all good.
Here's the number six performer. I really like their performance too, you can see it in the way that the holders of "Santo Niño" dance. That's what people love when they perform, like bend the body and show it to them. I also like their costume here. The kids are enjoying it too, well, it looks like that to me.
Here's number 7. I took a lot of them because they all look amazing in there and their performance is much neater than the others. And they have more steps than the others. Overall, I enjoy it too, you can see it too in these shots.
There's a lot going on with this one, it's performer number 8. Each group in this batch is holding something in their hands. Their performance is also fire, and the costume is really cool. I love their energy too.
A lot is also happening in this group, by the way, this one is from Bansud Central School. They are the overall grand champions of the Bansudani Festival 2024. They really perform well in here. And the costumes are the best. What can you say about their costume? They receive 100,000 PHP for the prize, that's not bad, but it'll be awesome if it's a little bigger than that. How about in your place, guys? How much is the prize for the grand champion?
Here's performer number 10. I love all the flowers on both sides. I can't remember their performance, but for sure, they all did well too. Tiredness can be seen on their faces, but I know they are doing their best not to show it. They were able to perform in front of everyone, and I think that made them happy.
Moving on to Performer 11, second to the last performer. They are doing well in their performances. I also remember this one because they have lots of supporters walking with them. But I think those are their classmates too. Clap clap to the job well done to all of them.
And lastly, performer number 12. They all have amazing costumes, too. You can also see that they put more effort into everything, just like everyone.
Overall, we enjoyed it too, they let us experience another fun and colorful street dance with their beautiful costumes and dance steps. I hope that all of them enjoyed this experience so much.
So moving on, the Grand Variety Show will start at 6 p.m., but we go there at 6:30. p.m.
We haven't gone to the main stage yet because we want to see what's in the night market. There's food stalls in there, not only that, but also new different stalls that sell different kinds of things, from clothes to toys to kitchenware. There's a variety of choices, I couldn't take a photo of it because it's too dark. Anyway, after looking around, we then proceed to where the main stage is. And this is what greeted us. A bunch of people.
So, these are invited guests or artists for the grand variety show. There are a lot of them, and I really enjoy watching them. But sadly, we couldn't finish the show because we didn't want to stay longer in the park. We only stay there until 10 p.m. And seriously, I am so curious about what new food we can discover in the night market that I drag Mama with me to get there again. But of course, Mama is the one who asked to go home early.
As the night deepens, more people flood the place. It's really hot while watching, but thanks heaven, it's a bit windy that night.
Here are the two amazing hosts that night. They are really good at their chosen field, we got a lot of good laughs that night, not just from us but from the whole crowd.
It is really enjoyable, and it's a little sad that I couldn't get a decent photo of those artists who performed that night. Look at these two, lol. We are so far away from them, that is why. If we buy a ticket, we'll sure have a chair and table where we can watch it comfortably, but we just don't want to spend so much. I'd rather spend it on food and bring it home, hihi.
We go back home with a wide smile in our face and we are thankful that we experience this kind of gathering again. I'm already looking forward for 2025 (≧▽≦).
