Christmas is over, yet the spirit of Christmas is still getting on my nerves. I've never had the chance to write about our Christmas celebration during December because of the hectic schedules and work I need to finish. So allow me to share with you how we celebrated our Christmas Party together with my KNHS family.
Christmas is about love, a time of sharing, and giving back. It is the time of expressing gratitude for all the blessings received for the entire year. Whatever the challenges we had in 2024, with brave souls, we fought hard our battles and survived.
Last December 7, 2024, we had our Christmas Party at Pofer Beach Resort in San Remegio, Cebu. It was 25km. away from our destination and a 36 to 40-minute drive. Though the travel seemed a little bit far, the excitement and enthusiasm of being in the place made us pursue our plan.
We met everyone at the school at exactly 8:00 in the morning so that we would have a convoy to the place because some of us were not familiar with the location. I brought my sister and my nieces to enjoy swimming. We were allowed to bring our families with us because, at the same time, it was for our family get-together.
We arrived at the place at 9:00 a.m. The sun was shining brightly. Some of my colleagues were already present together with their babies. The kids were busy swimming in the Kid's Pool area. The place was not so big. There were two pools, one for the kids and one for the adults.
On the side, you will see the cottages that we rented. We rented four cottages.
At the end, you will see a tree house above the tamarind tree. It was very cozy, and the fresh air was very cold. Seeing the stunning view up above is unusual, especially during sunrise and sunset.
Upon our arrival, it was low tide, so some of my colleagues enjoyed walking to the wide shorelines and looking for seashells. The fine shorelines are good for walking and breathing fresh air. If you want to swim in the sea, upon your registration, you can get a free swim.
Kayaks are also available for rental.
While waiting for our ordered food, we had our fun games by group. A lot of fun and everyone joined the game to win some prizes. There were games facilitated by every group.
It was truly a memorable day for everyone. We had so much fun enjoying and playing the games throughout the day.
After a tiring and rewarding day, the food shared for everyone is ready. We had a lot of food on the table and all were full.
Afterward, we had our exchanging of gifts for our manito/manita.
It was an unforgettable day for everyone. Though the venue was a little bit far, the happiness and satisfaction we experience is remarkable. As teachers, we also need to have fun for a bit and enjoy our own life. Life is amazing and we have to enjoy it while we can.
