*It was a tiresome day yet its all worth it. Imagine, having three games in a day and your up against those teams that defeated you before, we just can't believe that we were able to cope with all the pressures...*
Ola my Hive friends.(hand waving) How are you? Its been a couple of days since the last time I posted in here. What did I missed then? Well, I actually miss you guys. Anyways, apart from not having a topic to write on, I was also busy preparing for the Barangay League that was organized by one of Tita that live in Mama's birthplace. This league is one of the events for the annual fiesta celebration of the there barrio. And yesterday was the first day of the said league.
As the appointed team captain, I was added to the group chat created by the event organizers for us to know the further details regarding the event. And right after knowing it all, I also informed my teammates about it and told them to prepare the necessary things to bring like the team uniform, shoes, knee pads (if there is), food, water, and extra Tshirt.
Yesterday
Around 8:30 AM, we are all gathered at our barrio plaza. Good thing, the one who printed our new uniform arrived on time and brought all of our new team uniform. And with that, we decided to wear it and good to go. After less than thirty minutes, we arrived at the venue. Other teams were also there, but their members are not complete just yet. Then, the head of the event organizers (actually my Tita) announced that we should start the briefing session. All teams were gathered in the court and after the discussion, we picked out a roll paper to know which team we will be up against to. I picked number three (3) and Hitudpan Team picked out number (4). So, we ended up playing against each other. As for numbers one (1) and two (2), it was picked out by Agutayan Team and Utanan Hustlers Team then Cacao Voyagers Team picked number five (5) which made them the "Bye."
Before the games officially started, we took some pictures first as our remembrance.
Automatically, Agutayan Team won because the Utanan Hustlers Team didn't arrived at the scheduled time. They came very late and that means, they were forfeited in the first game. Our game followed and we lost it. Good thing that the type of tournament was Double Elimination, which means we can still have our chance to play again and that goes the same with the Utanan Hustlers Team.
After the third game, (Agutayan Team versus Cacao Voyagers Team) we have our lunch break and then resumed around 1:30 PM. This time, we wore our Purple team uniform but not all of us. We played against Utanan Hustlers Team and managed to win it and they were already lost their chance. The next game was played by Hitudpan Team and Cacao Voyagers Team and the Voyagers won that game.
Come to the last game of the day, our team played against Agutayan Team. It was really a close game, especially that they also have strong players.
All thanks to the Lord for we managed to surpass the obstacles and win the game which made our team advanced to the next round, happening this coming Saturday, October 29, 2022.
All the body pain after that tiresome plays were all worth it. We surely have now our place in that league. May it first, second, or third, all we have to do now is prepare ourselves in all aspects-physical, mental, emotional, social, and of course, spiritual. Next week will be up against the Powerhouse Teams. A Team Play will be!
