Istanbul finally met with a snowstorm. The city has been snowed for 2 days. Although it negatively affected daily life, it offered us beautiful views. We have been waiting for this snowfall for 3 years and finally we encountered it.
Sonunda İstanbul kar fırtınası ile buluştu. 2 gündür şehir kar yağışına maruz kaldı.Her ne kadar günlük hayatı olumsuz etkilese de bize güzel manzaralar sundu. Bu kar yağışını 3 senedir bekledik ve sonunda karşılaştık.
Today I took my car out into traffic, even though it was hard. Every time there is heavy snowfall, I go to the northern forests of the city to see beautiful views. Today, I met up with my friend and went to the northern forests of the city to watch the Bosphorus and snow views.
Bugün aracımı zor da olsa trafiğe çıkardım. Her yoğun kar yağışında şehrin kuzey ormanlarına güzel manzaralar görmek için giderim. Bugün de arkadaşımla buluşarak şehrin Kuzey ormanlarına boğaz ve kar manzarası izlemeye gittim.
On the hill I went to, a lone dog accompanied us. He was sunbathing on the snow and enjoying the view. The Anatolian side of the city was covered with more snow.
Gittiğim tepede yalnız bir köpek bize eşlik etti. Kar üzerinde güneşleniyordu ve manzaranın keyfini çıkarıyordu. Şehrin Anadolu yakası daha fazla karla kaplıydı.
After spending 20 minutes on this hill, our second stop was the hill with a fascinating view that I visit every time it snows.

This is a road opened for easy intervention in forest fires. It resembles a ski slope that seems to extend towards the Bosphorus. A snowstorm accompanied us here.

I first discovered this place in a documentary while watching TV in 2021. In the documentary, they showed that you can ski in Istanbul. Although this place is close to my house, I had never thought of it. After watching the documentary, I visited this place for the first time the next day.
Burayı ilk olarak 2021 yılında TV izlerken bir belgeselde keşfetmiştim. Belgeselde İstanbul'da kayak yapılabileceğini gösteriyorlardı. Burası evimin yakınında olmasına rağmen benim aklıma hiç gelmemişti. Belgeseli izledikten sonra ertesi gün burayı ilk olarak ziyaret etmiştim.
At the end of our day trip, we went to the cafe to have coffee. A snowman welcomed us there.
Although it has snowed a lot here, we used to see heavier snowfall. Although it was the first snowfall in 3 years, it was not very heavy unfortunately..
Günlük gezimizin sonunda kahve içmek için cafeye vardık. Orada bizi kardan adam karşıladı. Her ne kadar çok yağmış olsa da, eskiden daha yoğun kar yağışı görüyorduk. 3 yıldan sonraki ilk kar yağışı olsa da çok şiddetli değildi malesef.
