Este Sábado 22 de Julio del año 2023, Monagas Sport Club visitó a Academia Puerto Cabello para jugar la jornada 20 de la primera división del Fútbol Profesional Venezolano en la Bombonerita, a partir de las 8:30 de la noche (hora venezolana).
Un encuentro que serviría para ver el debut del entrenador Antonio Franco, quien asumió este nuevo reto con la mayor disposición y determinación posible, entiendo que el cuadro azulgrana no atraviesa un buen momento futbolístico en la Liga FUTVE.
¿Qué sucedió en el partido? ¿Cuál fue el resultado?
Monagas Sport Club, comenzó el cotejo jugando bien, con combinaciones y un juego colectivo vistoso en algunos pasajes del compromiso, mientras tanto, los locales intentaron por los costados con José Granados y Eduardo Fereira, dos laterales con mucha proyección.
Lo de Franco siguieron apostando a su juego colectivo y profundidad por el banda izquierda, con Óscar González y Daniel Linarez, quienes en ese costado inquietaron a Fereira en varias oportunidades.
¿Expulsión?
El primer tiempo terminaría con igualdad parcial por cero a cero, en donde se vieron pocas ocasiones, pero si un partido de ida y vuelta en las dos áreas.
Ya para el segundo periodo, los dos clubes tenían que ir por el gol. Lamentablemente, los visitantes se quedaron con un jugador menos, debido a la expulsión del mediocampista Cristhian Rivas en la fracción 66', este último cometió una dura falta en la zona medular que lo obligó a salir del Campo de juego.
Cinco minutos después, Óscar González, comete una falta en el área chica y el árbitro principal del duelo termina sentenciando penalti para el local. Luifer Hernández, ejecutó el penal y lo transformó en gol.
¿Mejorar? | Análisis
En cuanto a mi análisis deportivo, les puedo comentar que el elenco oriental carece de una buena defensa en estos últimos encuentros. Han tenido que jugar en muchas ocasiones con línea de tres y dos carrileros, con el objetivo de ser más sólido y no encajar goles. Aunque, parece que esto no está funcionado del todo.
Óscar Cabezas, seguramente jugará para el próximo choque con los de Maturín. Y es que, necesitan con urgencia solidez y sumar puntos desde ya.

Improve? Analysis
As for my sporting analysis, I can comment that the eastern team lacks a good defense in these last matches. They have had to play in many occasions with a line of three and two wingers, with the objective of being more solid and not conceding goals. However, it seems that this is not working at all.
Óscar Cabezas will surely play in the next match with the team from Maturín. They urgently need solidity and points from now on.

De igual manera, los locales siguieron buscando el segundo gol para cerrar este juego y ponerle punto final.
Y claro, lo encontrarían al minuto 90+3', con un desborde por el costado izquierdo, donde el bandaje de plata apareció el goleador Luifer Hernández para anotar su doblete y sellar el triunfo en su casa, y ante su gente.

Desde mi punto vista, mucho que corregir y mejorar para esta plantilla Monaguense, donde no se encuentran los resultados y les cuesta ganar. Claro está, que estaban jugando ante el líder del torneo, que ahora con esta victoria llega a 41 puntos en 18 partidos jugados.
Los orientales, ocupan la casilla número 11, con 18 unidades.
