Sometimes last week, my colleagues brought up the topic of what one can do aside from schooling. He spoke elaborately on some skills and also some things you have to do just to elevate your stand financially. He talked about getting involved with event planning and how you can make cool money from it. He spoke about having a handiwork aside from schooling skills, he also talked about blogging. This side of it captivated my mind and this made me come up and spoke about the Hive platform to the students.
I told them how Hive can change their lives academically and financially.
After much talk, some students came to me that they would want me to put them through on how to join Hive and become bloggers just like me. We later fixed today being Saturday which I felt would be the perfect day for the teaching. However, some of the students were not able to meet up and I fixed another class for next week on Saturday. This time I would make a video of everything.
I have been on Hive for the past 3 years now after Steemit packed up. I was on Steemit but was just there without engagement.
That was in the past...
Before today, I had given the students who showed interest to join Hive my #leofinance referrer link. Some of them were able to sign up while some were having issues signing up. Today I also sent the referrer link to some of them.
About six of them of them had signed up already through the #leofinance referrer link and now I would be reaching them on how to join communities and how they can be able to make posts on Hive.
I was able to tell them about the different platforms we have on Hive. Peakd was one of the things I spoke on. I told them how they can be able to post using peakd, leofinance, and ecency. Everyone adapted to the teaching and was able to make an attempt to sign up. Only few were able to make it through. I told the rest that I would be having another class with them next weekend.
Today, I had to teach them how to join communities which some of them did. Two of them had chosen to make their Intro Post today and I hope you all would help me reach them.
Another big thing I taught them today was how they can source any images they use and the free sites they can download any image from.
I was also able to teach them how to upload images and how they can be able to upload their profile pictures.
I hit more on sourcing images and plagiarism. I told them to always use their original work as this would earn them credit instead of stealing someone else's work.
@fattymiszy12 was able to post her introductory post today and I'm hoping to see others posts.
I was able to at least achieve my aim today except for those who were not able to sign up.
