Hi everyone!
I welcome you to my blog. So today, I decided to make a video post talking about engagement on the Hive blockchain. Engagement on the Hive blockchain is actually very essential and important for the members of the community. It also helps the community grow as one because we are the community. It's beyond just receiving upvotes.
While upvotes are great, comments also provide a special kind of feeling that shows that people also notice what you’re doing. It gives me a different kind of feeling and goosebumps when I see that people have taken the time to read and think about my work. It just has a way of motivating me to want to honestly do more when I see feedback on my post. Be it my podcast show or my blog post.
I remember when I came into the Hive blockchain; one of my personal experiences that kept me here that year was the engagement and warm welcoming I got from people when I posted my introductory post. I had so many comments and upvotes too. I was new to the space, so I really didn’t know what upvotes really meant at that point. I was just so happy about the warm welcome and also knew that it was a good thing that my upvote number was a bit high.
But the feeling was different at some point in time when I continued my journey here, and I wasn’t really getting much engagement on my post, like my introductory post that had a lot of comments. After then, I came to realize how important engagement on one’s post is. Comments provide a sense of connection and fulfillment that upvotes alone can't match.
Because on Hive, comments allow members of the community to build relationships with their readers and understand how their work is impacting others. Like my podcast show, sometimes I feel down when I don’t get engagement from people. Engagement encourages people to want to do more and also creates a positive connection with others in the community. And this is one thing the #Hivelearners community does that makes me love them.
SUMMARY OF MY POST
Engaging with one another is actually a way of encouraging people to do more. Honestly speaking, leaving comments on people’s posts to encourage them wouldn’t take you anything for real. Be it a musical entry, an idea a person is coming up with, community prompts, a daily blog, etc.

Just try to put a smile on people’s faces by spreading love with encouraging words and comments, as it goes a long way in showing appreciation for their work or crafts. Imagine if a top whale you love so much decides to stop by and give an encouraging speech to your blog; trust me, man, you’ll definitely do better next time because you know that you’re being noticed by others. Which gives a different kind of feeling.
My Suggestions Towards Warm Welcoming For New Members.
I really hope that we also get to welcome newbies to the community well from today. Because imagine you going somewhere new, and then people don’t really want to interact with you that much; you’ll definitely feel somehow and might feel so uncomfortable that you might not stay long there because of the first impression of the environment.

It wouldn’t take us anything to welcome people. Thank you for taking the time to go through my post. I hope all I’ve said so far has an impact on the future of the Hive blockchain community. Peace and love, fam. ❤️. Spread love and positivity in the community. Have a great day ahead, everyone.
