It’s my second Hive birthday! Wooohoo! 🥳
Reflecting on the past year of being active on the chain, I am happy to say that my account has grown. Every blog I made for the past two years was poured with effort and time so I can say that this is something I want to treasure throughout my crypto journey.
Hmm, time flies so fast, right? 😁 I still remember the first time I made my account on Hive, haha! 😆
So, lemme show you a little memory lane of the past year. 😌
Fanart and contest
In this 2nd year on Hive, I have delved more into art contests and fan art. Participating in Splinterlands, Holozing, and Rada Quest Contests was like stepping into the realm of fantasy and gaming without any boundaries.
It was fun incorporating my art style and creativity to the characters and to their lores. Joining contests, pushed my creative journey and skills.
I had the opportunity to explore more about art by experimenting with different styles, and techniques, and challenging myself to go beyond what I know about art.
It is a win-win for me, I get to explore and I get rewards. Aside from the contest itself, I gained artistic friends! I love it when we share comments and feedback, and to see how they interpreted the character. I am inspired more to do art because of them. 😊
NFT | Chibis on Hive
Currently, I have 44 Chibis with a 492.56 volume. This year, I managed to create 10 chibis. Still, people are buying my NFTs despite not being as active as the first year. My highlight for this portion is getting commissioned by Arc. I had fun making her OC as a chibi, and happy that she allowed me to mint it as part of the collection.
Community
Ever since joining Hive, my focus has been on improving my art skills, that’s why I added the art on my name to force myself to draw, haha. 😆 But art community like Alien Art Hive is my favorite. This is where I post 70 percent of my blogs consisting of SPL art, NFTs, and other art stuff.
Second is Holozing for fan art content. Later on, I wanted to post gaming content when the game will be playable. The third community is the Hive Gaming. Been really liking the community here, especially the Discord Server.
I post one game at least every fortnight. I usually play cozy, relaxing, and cute games like Harvestella, Palia, Legend of Zelda, and organizing games. Perhaps it was a way for me to escape the real world for a while.
To wrap this up...
As I type here thinking about my two years on Hive, I can’t help but feel a sense of happiness and gratitude. Two years ago, the first time I hopped on the community, I felt lost in the sense that I did not know where to start and what to expect, yet I am positive about meeting people with the same hobbies and interests.
What made me stay here for two years (and counting) is the belongingness and the people. I met incredibly talented people, people who inspire me to improve more my art skills and to explore more into the realm of gaming.
My improvement is perhaps sharing more of my personal stuff, hehe. 😅 I wanted to share more of a feeling content rather than art and gaming. Second, to go back to my microphotography content blogs.
This year, I shared more food and travel content compared to the first year, I think that was a good start. My goal is that I do hope some people can relate to me besides art stuff coz I promise you, I have a life outside the art universe. 😆
As I think of the next year, I am excited about what Hive can do more. 🥳 I look forward to meeting new friends, and sharing art, and content I have yet to discover. 🤩
