It was June 15, 2022, when a novice joined Hive. Not so familiar with how the blockchain worked, but tried her best. The newcomer happens to be me, pinkchic.
I chose the username, pinkchic because I am a lady who truly loves all pink hues and shades.
Today, I am looking back with profound gratitude to everyone who has been on my Hive journey since the first day.
Happy 1st Hive Birthday!
One time I asked myself why I love Hive. At first, I was speechless, but now, I have so many reasons why I am loving Hive.
Becoming my Web 3.0 Best Friend.
Since I learned little by little how Hive works, it has been my diary, my outlet to express my happy and sad emotions, my journal, and my channel to share my real-life experiences every day.
Who would have thought that the Hive blockchain has been a witness to my moments in the real world? Perhaps an introvert like me loves to express my emotions in words and Hive has been my Web 3.0 best friend.
Loving Hive In My Darkest Moments.
Tripping down memory lane, although I am writing in another world before, still it was truly hard for me to start in Hive because I do not know how will I begin and in which community to post.
Later on, my late sister introduced the HivePh server to me in Discord, but I was not as active as her. I met friends, but still, my heart was left somewhere in another blogging world, which hindered me to continue writing in Hive.
Remembering my Guardian Angel.
Until August 2022 came, and eventually I was motivated by my late sister, @erikasue, to write because when she was still alive, she always believed in me but I was hesitant.
On the night of August 14, 2022, when we were casually talking with my sister, she said that she will delegate Hive Power to me so I could engage more in the community. She kept on telling me to continue posting in Hive and never quit. So I made a promise to her to be active once more.
Through my late sister’s motivation, I started posting in Hive and was supported by the community, but in a blink of an eye, a tragedy happened on August 15, 2022.
Embracing An Ever-Supportive Hive Ecosystem.
Dear Hive, I have loved you at my weakest...
When my sister died, I could not forget how the Hive Ecosystem sympathized with me with all the comforting words and prayers, as well as meeting angels, namely @adamada, @indayclara, and @jude.villarta of HivePh.
I was really surprised at how they extended support to me and my family, not to mention that the support from all the generous people in Hive for my sister Erika was sent to me through Miss Clara, and my family was very thankful to Hive for extending financial support to us during these tough moments.
It was so hard but the comfort and care of everyone was so overwhelming. Indeed, it was a very difficult situation as I experienced great trauma and a deep feeling of pain for losing my dearest sister when we were both waiting for the bus on the highway, and the vehicle hit on her which led to her death.
Writing My Emotions Freely in Hive.
Honestly, until this moment, I am still feeling so much pain, but through Hive, I was able to express my feelings and emotions without the fear of being judged.
Whenever I am so sad, I simply write my emotions. And that I am always grateful to Hive for everything as somehow, writing helped me express myself and release every feeling of anguish from within.
Meeting Amazing Friends Worldwide.
I may fail to mention each one specifically, but my profound gratitude goes to everyone in Hive Blockchain who has helped me, inspired me, and never failed to support me in my beginning journey when things were so difficult for me.
Perhaps every day is a beautiful chance to meet thousands of people in Hive. And I must say that each person I met touched my life in so many ways.
But I would like to acknowledge a few people who had brought great impact on my existence in Hive.
Finding friends turned into a family.
Perhaps I am always grateful to everyone in Hive who are many to mention, especially HivePh with its ever-brilliant lead, adamada, who once inspired me to go on with my Hive journey through a simple yet substantial message when he had communicated to me through Discord, and for the guidance during HivePh webinars that made me understand Hive better.
I appreciate HivePh and how it guided me with my Hive journey, as well as @demotry, who is a message away when I am confused about how some things work in Hive. And to a beautiful soul, @wittyzell for the guidance and support as always.
Since then, I became active in Hive and met friends, but I will never forget a very good friend, I met at Dreemport who made a difference to my writing journey, no other than, @samsmith1971. She has been there for me since the very beginning when I was still a wee fish and always supported me with my journey.
Moreover, my heartfelt thanks go to my Saturday Savers Family, especially sis @ifarmgirl and Tito Ed, @tengolotodo, for teaching me about LeoFinance. And to my ever-good friend, @lhes who once invited me to join the Saturday Savers Club. Now, it is just a click to save the rewards I get every day as I power up and save Hive and HBD, and stake LEO.
As well as to ‘The Terminal’ Discord Server with Miss TheKittyGirl, Sir Wesphilbin, and all, for the warm welcome and for every Hive guide they were imparting to me, which contributed to my learnings in Hive.
Building And Growing My Account.
Looking back to how it all started, I am feeling happy as I view the statistics at present as shown in the screenshots from HiveStats and Hive Buzz.
Little by little, I am building my account. It is with great pleasure that I was able to explore different amazing communities as I post various content daily, while I have been a buzzy bee.
I could not believe that I would be able to achieve the badges and achievements in a year with a reputation of 70. Achieving this milestone made me lookback with profound gratitude to all curators who had curated my posts.
Every support means a lot to me. And I know that I would not be able to achieve every milestone of my Hive journey without the help of everyone in the Hive Ecosystem through curation, reblogs, comments, and all-out support.
These may just be numbers and figures, but they are all proofs of my humble existence in the Hive Ecosystem.
So now, I am looking backward with so much gratitude to everyone who has touched my journey here, and will be looking forward to staying in the community even in the future.
Achieving Prizes, Badges, And Awards.
Every day I am staking hive and successfully achieving the monthly HPUM Badges.
I am also excited to join the HPUD every first day of the month and I am glad that I have been joining 9 HPUDS in a row since October of 2022.
Happy Leo Power Up Day and I powered up 200 LEO today!
In addition, I have been joining the LPUD since January 2023, so it would be my 6th badge of the year and I now have 1,119 staked LEO power. Joining LPUD made me so lucky for winning the 10K delegation from the community sponsors as mentioned in my previous post.
Looking forward to a brighter future with Hive.
Yes, my beginning journey was so hard, but as I explore Hive every day, I am learning to understand it, but still believe that there are many things to know about.
I may have had difficulties at the beginning, but as I go along the way, my journey has been happier as I met amazing friends that became my inspiration to go on. And that, from a wee fish, later became a Minnow, with hopes of becoming a Dolphin soon in a perfect moment.
Finally, with a humble heart, my profound gratitude goes to everyone in Hive. Thank you so much and know that I am eternally thankful.
Happy First Hive Birthday and counting!
