Shouldn't dApps be promoting for Hive...

First things first, should we be promoting Hive or the dApps within Hive?
Trying to explain and therefore promote Hive is not easy....
Hive didn't get off on the right foot!
I know a name must have been needed fast for the hardfork from the legacy chain...
But the name Hive? Really it is a PR disaster.
You know I love to research ....
Well search for Hive and you are hard pressed to find our Hive without typing hive.io ....
I mean who does that apart from people who are in the know....
SolHive hits the crytpo space...
In this time where many alts are in the doldrums I like to keep my ear to the ground, afterall we are looking for the next x100 coin aren't we?
Well that is why many people are in this space... Let's not ignore that elephant in the room.
Superior tech, fast and feeless transactions doesn't cut it for many people anymore.
I was even on X the other day, and saw people talking about the $HIVE token on Sol to pay for things.
Turns out there is a blockchain fiverr on sol called solhive.io
See them mentioning the $HIVE token... I know, I know there can be umpteen tokens with the same name, it is one of the things you should always check for when buying crypto....
The last time I saw some aggro here was with people who moved here from overseas and just refuse to put their rubbish out properly. It meant there were rats all over the place, and it looked revolting. After repeated attempts by neighbours to show them how to recycle when to put wheelie bins out etc, it spilled over into a confrontation where the police were involved.
The result, cautions were given to the neighbours.
As I said trust in the police force by many people has now been lost.
Why don't dApps do the promoting?
I was brought to Hive by fellow bloggers from another platform. But those numbers are small that will actually stay on Hive and use it.
I have to take my hat off to OCD and their onboarding program. New users who are brought on to Hive through them are shown the ropes and aregiven some cracking curation rewards to get them up and running.
Who else has a decent onboarding program?
Nobody else that I am aware ... I am sure someone will prove me wrong, actually probably not, as this is my alt account and well the struggle is real, not many people read this or comment.
The dApps are happy enough to take DHF money. That is all fine and dandy but they should be promoting and gaining users to use their apps!
It is not rocket science.
When you talk about gaming, it is easy enough to talk about Splinterlands etc. That is a shining beacon of Hive, people know of Splinterlands without knowing what chain it is on.
Ecency, InLeo, PeakD all these frontends get DHF money, in some case it is for marketing....
So they should be doing the marketing.
Why isn't West Africa being targeted by dApps for recruiting?
Take Nigeria, the country is full of crypto users...
If I was in Africa, I would be writing a proposal for DHF funds.
Look at OCD and The Philippines presentations ...
Make presentations to schools/universities or village halls etc.
Show the people the dApps on the blockchain.
Hells bells I would even do it if I was there.
Africa Asia South America these are our growth continents.
Even 15 cents Hive makes a huge fluffing difference to the lives of people there!
