Dear Hivers,
It was sometime in January, just a couple of weeks after I joined Hive and @samostically informed me of a Hive meet-up happening later in the month. I didn't hesitate at all as I thought this was a great way to connect with persons from similar geographical area who understand the real life challenges of being a hiver admist other things.
School was back in session and I was pretty occupied with alot of other things and I was seriously finding it hard to be a consistent hiver while tackling life issues and challenges.
That was basically the start of my long break from hiving.
I wasn't sure of what I was expecting the meet-up to belike and the sort of persons I was expecting to see. But I was certain I wouldn't the bored since the location chosen is one of my favourite places of all time.
I meet up with Samo and we were off to the venue together. Getting there, I meet these beautiful hivers : @young-boss-karin, @khaleesii, @almostsober and @peaq
There wasn't any awkward moments right from the start as everyone seemed to be on the same positive energy.
We had some light drinks while catching up and getting to know ourselves.
They all felt welcoming and I was already feeling comfortable in no time.
Then we proceeded to our first activity :
I don't even know what it's called exactly, but it's an activity were you get to climb through different tasking parts and the diffulty level increases the higher you go.
It is quite a physical activity.
It wasn't my first time doing it so I was quite aware of what I was getting myself into. But that didn't take away the strain of it. If you've got weak arms trust me, you don't want to try it. 😂
Burnt out samostically vs energetic wildthougts

I did two lanes and I was done.
It was mad fun though. I must confess.
We had a little talk session where we informed ourselves more about Hive. We shared our Hive experiences and samo gave a little pep- talk on how we could add more value to the platform and in nutshell to ourselves.
@samostically being the sensei for some minutes
We engaged in alot of productive conversations and also did other activities like playing virtual reality games.
Unfortunately I lost alot of the pictures we took but the memories remain ever vivid.
Oh! And yes, @Peak and @almostsober graced us with some magical music performance. It was awesome!
The meet-up was so much fun and interesting. Unfortunately I couldn't share immediately after the events as life happened.
Alot went on; some of which are very personal and others I look forward to sharing here on Hive.
Nevertheless, the meet-up was beautiful and I got to network with wonderful personalities. It was great to be able to relate with other hivers physically and not just from a computer/phone screen.
I look forward to more Hive hangouts in the future.
Thank you for reading!
Cheers,
