So first, before I start my story and struggle to get the miniature to me and all thatā¦,
What is Warhammer+?
Warhammer+ offers subscribers a premium app experience, along with exclusive original animations and classic lore content. It also provides access to a vault filled with expert miniature painting tutorials, engaging battle reports, and much more for dedicated hobbyists to explore. As the tagline suggests, Warhammer+ delivers "More Warhammer ā More Often." PLUS- the one-year subscriber exclusive miniature! (a monthly subscription of approx. $6 per month just a bit more than 100 rand in my local currency)šøš°
One standout feature of Warhammer+ is the Warhammer Vault, available exclusively to subscribers. It brings digital versions of all those magazines and books typically found on physical store shelves right to your smartphone, allowing you to read them conveniently anywhere.š
In summary, while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I find Warhammer+ to be a fantastic service for its price. It provides early access to painting videos, lore updates ahead of others, exclusive battle reports, and, most notably, access to the rich content in the Warhammer Vault. This treasure trove allows me to peruse and delve into past magazine releases, offering an invaluable insight into the Warhammer universe.š
The choice for last year subscriberās exclusive miniatures was:

For me the choice was easy, I donāt really like Orks and donāt play Age of Sigmar. "Vindicare I choose you"! š š

THE POSTAGE ISSUE:
Alright, let me share the tale of my ordeal in acquiring this miniature. I had been eagerly awaiting its arrival, not only because I wanted it for my collection, but also because I genuinely admired the model and wanted to incorporate it into my Space Wolves army list. However, there were some significant challenges on the postage front, especially considering my location in South Africa, a third-world country with its fair share of infrastructure issues, including logistics and postal services.š
I placed my order and selected my desired miniature back in March as soon as I received the email notification from Games Workshop. They dispatched it via Royal Mail, and it arrived at the depot in London within just a week. Following a shipping update the next week, I received a tracking number indicating that the package had made its way to South Africa and was en-route to my address in Cape Town. However, things took an unexpected turn from there.
For a month, the tracking status showed that the package was stuck at our Johannesburg post offices. Then, after another month, it appeared to be stranded at the Cape Town offices, awaiting further transport to my local post office in Tableview. I sent numerous emails, but there was no response from our post office. The frustration was mounting, and my patience was running thin.š
Finally, after persistent efforts, I managed to get in touch with a lady at the branch. She acknowledged that my package had indeed arrived, but there was a twist ā the post office had closed downā¦. Yes, you read that right, the branch had shut its doors. My frustration reached its peak. š£She informed me that all the mail was redirected to another post office about 8 kilometers away from the original one and even provided me with tracking numbers.
However, despite my best efforts, when I visited the new post office early the following day, they informed me that they hadn't received any post from the other office yet. šAnother two months of regular visits and checks followed before, at long last, I received my package this week.(intactš) It's been quite the wait; I was genuinely excited about painting it and adding it to my army. Now, I can finally get started!
I'll be sharing a post about the miniature, including its stats and the painting process, as soon as it's ready. Stay tuned!
Thanks for reading!
Until next time - Peacešāļø!
