Greetings, fellow fun-loving and passionate Warhammer 40,000 community and fellow Hivers😄!
The Spartan Assault Tank
I have been working on this tank for some time now, and I would like to share my journey with you.
Firstly, for those who may not be familiar with this awesome model and tank, let's take a closer look at it:
The Spartan Assault Tank was originally designed during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy to transport a full squad of Terminator-armored Marines. It was created to breach the deadly Ring of Death that surrounded the city of Aries Primus on Mars. The standard Land Raider at the time could not carry Terminators, so the Spartan became a crucial asset for those daring enough to advance through the plasma defense systems. The current design of the Spartan includes twin hull-mounted heavy bolters, sponsons fitted with a quad-lascannon battery each, and the ability to transport 28 Infantry models. Each Jump Pack, Wulfen, Gravis, Possessed or Terminator model takes up the space of 2 models and each Centurion or Obliterator model takes up
the space of 3 models.. It is a formidable vehicle and remains in service with many Space Marine Chapters.🤓

My journey with this tank began when I found it on sale at a hobby store in Cape Town, South Africa. Being a fan of Warhammer and the joy of painting miniatures, this model immediately caught my eye.😍

I started building it on a timer, as I had other plans initially, but I soon realized I wanted to use it in an epic battle with my friends, featuring large numbers of Warhammer 40K forces that escalate .(More on that checkout @zakludick post about our game) The building process was quite tedious, and I worked on it late at night for a whole week to complete it. There were various parts and gun options that needed to be assembled separately before finally being glued together.😵
After much effort, I made significant progress, and it was ready to be painted. With one night left to paint it and other models needed for the game, I delved deep into the night, working from 11 pm to 4 am to get it to a state where it could grace the tabletop. It may not have been ready to show off or parade, but at least it was battle-ready.😉😊
During the game, the Spartan provided a strong fight, and I am glad I had it in my arsenal. What a legendary model!⚔️
In conclusion, the journey of building and painting this tank was filled with dedication and enthusiasm for the Warhammer hobby. While the process was challenging, the satisfaction of seeing it on the battlefield made it all worthwhile. I can't wait for the next adventure in the world of Warhammer 40,000 and the memories I'll create with this legendary model.😁
Also here is some progress on other models I am working on😆:
