Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
The total remaining is $530 (R10,000 ZAR).

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Aeldari, Warlock
10th Edition Index
Warlocks are not Farseers and though it is possible for a Warlock to become a Fareseer I suppose, the main reason they are the way they are is because generally, Warlocks are Aspect Warriors who develop psychic abilities.
These abilities manifest themselves in destructive abilities and thus these units are attached to Battleline units to bolster them.
It is 45pts to field a Warlock and you buy them at $60 for 2x of them.

Weapons
The Warlock has the Destructor psychic weapon. They come with Shuriken Pistols and Witch Blades. The Witch Blades can be exchanged for Singing Spears.

Destructor
12" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Torrent (Auto hits, just roll for number of attacks.)
Psychic (Has the Psychic keyword)
Shuriken Pistol
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (Can be fired while in melee)
Assault (Can be fired after the unit Advances)
Singing Spear
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S9, AP0 and 3 Damage each.
Psychic (Has the Psychic keyword)
Assault (Can be fired after the unit Advances)
Melee Weapons
Witch Blade
2 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP0 and 2 Damage each.
Psychic (Has the Psychic keyword)
Anti-Infantry 2+ (Wounds Infantry units on a 2+)
Singing Spear
2 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP0 and 3 Damage each.
Psychic (Has the Psychic keyword)
Abilities
Runes of Fortune (Psychic)
In the Command Phase chose one of 2 abilities:
Quicken: Auto 6 to Advances
Restrain: If this unit is the target of a charge, subtract 2 from the charge roll.
Thoughts
Destructor is no big deal. It is a flamer. And Singing Spears are so-so... but this Fortune Ability is what makes them worth the while.
Quicken suits Storm Guardians and Restrain suits Restrain but there will be situations where you might need either for either.
Using this unit to capture and hold objectives is key to winning battles. This will be noted in my book of grudges.
The new numbers look great.
That makes 44 Aeldari Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 73.33% Completed. The total Completed is 24.34% Complete! Can I review them all?!
