Hello beautiful and awesome #jewelry community members. I hope you and your family are doing well especially today that's Sunday. I hope you're planning for tomorrow business. Today, I made a bracelet for my little cousin. The bracelet I just made it to look very simple and crazy. The craziness of the bracelet has to do with what I used to make it. I used a chain and it's pendant from a bag. Instead of the chain and pendant from a bag to be thrown away, I used it to make a bracelet that could be worn for one reason or the other.
You know this things that most of the African women used to buy as a bag used to come along with gifts like chain, watch, and so many other things especially if it's all those one you buy from a supermarket. This means that whenever one buy bag or wear, the person would have to check it properly if there's any gift attached to it. If it happens to be those kind of handbags that our wife buy as a second hand by the road side, it comes with a higher gift that of the one we buy from the supermarket.
It has taking me so long last time I meet with my brother. Going to see him was like emergency because I didn't expect to see him anytime soon. I was just my own with my own family when he called that i should try by all means to see him the next day. With the call, I did what I could to answer the call. On my way going to see my brother I couldn't buy anything except cashew nuts. I reached to see my brother safe. As if a know, my cousin asked me if I bought anything for him but the only thing I offered him was the cashew nut I bought when coming.
The next day with my brother, the wife went to the market and when she returned, she came back with a handbag. With how beautiful the handbag was, my brother wife needed to remove the old one she had before the new one. As she was trying to remove one of the old bag she doesn't want to use again, I saw a colorful chain with it's chain still shinning. I collected the old handbag pendant and it's chain. When I collected it, my brothers son wanted to have it so that he can be playing with it, I begged him that instead of him to play with it that it would be better I use the pendant and chain to make him a bracelet.
Materials I used for the making of the handbag will be provided below:
Red colored straw bead.
Old bag pendant and it's chain.
White colored Nylon line.
Procedures I used for the making of the bracelet will also be provided below to help anyone interested of making it:
I cut the white colored nylon line from its original row, I inserted the old bag pendant into the nylon line. Now, from the left side of the nylon line, I inserted 1 piece of red colored straw bead and from the other right side, I also inserted 1 piece of red colored straw bead. I kept repeating the insertion of red colored straw bead for both left and right side to the time I was convinced the bracelet can cover my cousin hand.
When you wear the bracelet, you'll have to use the chain from the pendant to go the same way the bracelet is covering your hand, open the chain and hold it tight to the last bracelet covering your hand. When wearing, it'll just be that you're wearing both chain and bead bracelet at the same time.
