Greetings friends who love handicrafts! Welcome once again to my DC DIY workshop, today I would like to join the initiative proposed by the Jewelry community where they invite us to honor the tree on its day. Join me and I show you the step by step of my version: Tree of life in monochrome.

Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi taller Bricolaje DC, hoy me gustaría sumarme a la iniciativa propuesta por la comunidad de Jewelry donde nos invitan a honrar al árbol en su día. Acompáñenme y les enseño el paso a paso de mi versión: Árbol de la vida en monocromático.

Materials:

Amber colored fused glass stone.
20 grams of white colored cold porcelain
10 grams of cold porcelain in black color
Gold colored beads
White glue
Shiny stones with golden rim
Ring
Piece of golden chain
Resin

Materiales:

20 gramos de porcelana fría en color blanco
10 gramos de porcelana fría en color negro

Pegamento blanco

Process of elaboration:

We start by making a base for the pendant. Take a portion (half) of white cold porcelain, make a sphere and place it inside a piece of plastic wrap.

We are going to flatten it very well with the help of a rolling pin. If we do not have a rolling pin, we will use a thick marker.

Proceso de elaboración:

Comenzamos haciendo una base para el colgante. Tomamos una porción (la mitad) de porcelana fría de color blanco, hacemos una esfera y vamos a colocar dentro de un trozo de papel plástico.

Vamos a aplanar muy bien con ayuda de un rodillo. De no tener rodillo, vamos a utilizar un marcador punta gruesa.

Let's try to leave the thickness of the dough at 2 millimeters so that it is resistant but not too heavy.

Let's take a mold, in my case I used a cookie cutter. And cut the base to your liking.

Tratemos de dejar el grosor de la masa en 2 milímetros para que sea resistente pero no quede muy pesado.

Vamos a tomar un molde, en mi caso utilicé uno de galletas. Y cortamos la base a nuestro gusto.

With the help of a stick, we apply glue to embed the stones with a golden edge.

I placed them all around the base.

Con ayuda de un palito, aplicamos pegamento para incrustar las piedras con borde dorado.

Yo las coloqué por todo el rededor de la base.

Then we put glue in the center of the base and glued the stone.

I placed it at the bottom to give volume to the tree and to simulate the sunset in the background.

Luego colocamos pegamento en el centro de la base y pegamos la piedra.

La coloqué en el fondo para darle volúmen al árbol y pars que simulara la puesta de sol al fondo.

With my fingers I stretched the rest of the white and black cold porcelain dough into long and very thin cylinders.

Con los dedos estiré el resto de masa de porcelana fría de color blanco y la de color negro formando cilindros largos y muy delgados.

We take all the cylinders of both colors and roll them up to form the trunk of the tree.

Tomamos todos los cilindros de ambos colores y vamos a enrollar para formar el tronco del árbol.

Place the ring at the top of the base to prevent the branches or leaves of the tree from getting in the way when attaching.

We glue on the stone and try to accommodate the roots and the upper branches where we will later glue the leaves.

Colocamos la argolla en la parte superior de la base para evitar que las ramas o las hojas del árbol nos hagan estorbo a la hora de sujetar.

Pegamos sobre la piedra y tratamos de acomodar las raíces y las tamas superiores donde después pegaremos las hojas.

We started making our leaves. This was my personal favorite part. We make tiny black and white leaves out of the cold porcelain dough that was left over from the trunk. We made enough to cover all the branches of the tree. I made 20 tiny leaves.

With the help of a flat stake, I made the lines that simulate the veins of each leaf. In some leaves (5 of them) we are going to embed the golden beads to give shine to our tree.

Comenzamos a hacer nuestras hojas. En lo personal fue mi parte favorita. Hacemos diminutas hojas de color negro y blanco en la masa de porcelana fría que nos restó del tronco. Hacemos suficientes para cubrir todas las ramas del árbol. Yo hice 20 diminutas hojas.

Con ayuda de una esteca plana, hice las líneas que simulan las venas de cada hoja. En algunas hojas (5 de ellas) vamos a incrustar las mostacillas doradas para darle brillo a nuestro árbol.

With glue, we are going to glue all the leaves, alternating the colors. Try to make a leafy tree. Let it dry for about 2 hours in the air.

Con pegamento, vamos a pegar todas las hojas intercalando los colores. Tratamos de que quede un árbol frondoso. Dejamos secar unas 2 horas al aire.

Finally, we apply a layer of resin and let it dry for 8 hours on plastic paper.

De por último, aplicamos una capa de resina y dejamos secar por 8 horas sobre un papel plástico.

And that's it! This is how, in simple steps, we can make a beautiful monochromatic tree of life ideal to fill us with good vibes. We can use it as a pendant with a chain or as a keychain.

I loved making this work, I had a lot of fun and I am satisfied with the final result.

Y listo! Así es como, en sencillos pasos, podemos hacer un hermoso árbol de la vida en monocromático ideal para llenarnos de buena vibra. Podemos usarlo de colgante con una cadena o de llavero.

Me encanto realizar este trabajo, me divertí mucho y estoy satisfecha con el resultado final.
