Desde hace algunas semanas quería compartir con la comunidad otra creación con mostacillas, específicamente mi deseo era realizar un colgante, probablemente este sea mi décima creación de este tipo. Aunque en esta ocasión, me he inspirado en un videojuego clásico que forma parte de la infancia de muchas personas en el mundo.

Mario Bros tiene muchos personajes conocidos e importante en la historia del juego y sus productos, por eso he decidido recrear a Toad. Este es un simpático hongo que posee los característicos colores blanco y rojo en su cuerpo. Para realizar este personaje, primero observé un patrón, pero requería usar mucho material y otras técnicas, así que he diseñado mi propio patrón o guía, también he utilizado materiales reciclables, es decir, alambre o hilos de cobre; principalmente, por tener el tamaño adecuado y una excelente flexibilidad.
Mario Bros has many well-known and important characters in the history of the game and its products, that's why I decided to recreate Toad. This is a nice mushroom that has the characteristic white and red colors on his body. To make this character, I first observed a pattern, but it required using a lot of material and other techniques, so I have designed my own pattern or guide, I have also used recyclable materials, that is, wire or copper wires; mainly, for having the right size and excellent flexibility.

Proceso de creación. / Creation process.
1️⃣.
- El método aplicado para realizar cada línea de mostacillas es similar al que he mostrado en otras ocasiones, es decir, insertamos una línea de mostacillas en el hilo, y posteriormente los extremos del hilo deben cruzar dentro de las siguientes líneas de mostacillas. Pero siempre tratando de conservar un extremo del hilo a la izquierda y otro a la derecha.
- The method applied to make each line of beads is similar to what I have shown in other occasions, that is, we insert a line of beads in the thread, and then the ends of the thread must cross inside the following lines of beads. But always trying to keep one end of the thread to the left and the other to the right.
- El truco o método para lograr la forma es insertar los colores de manera correcta, así cada línea serviría para darle forma a la cabeza de Toad. Al principio inserte un conjunto de 6 mostacillas negras, posteriormente agregue otro conjunto, pero con 6 mostacillas blancas y 1 mostacilla negra en cada lado. Este segundo conjunto es el que se usara para que cada extremo del hilo cruce.

At first, insert a set of 6 black beads, then add another set, but with 6 white beads and 1 black bead on each side. This second set is the one that will be used to make each end of the thread cross.

- Ahora agregaremos 2 líneas de mostacillas, cada una estará formada por 8 mostacillas blancas y una negra en cada extremo.

- La siguiente línea la conformaremos con 10 mostacillas, pero debemos mantener 2 negras a los lados y también colocaremos 2 mostacillas negras en el centro (Estos serán los ojos). Esta secuencia se repetirá, aunque debemos adicionar otra mostacilla negra en los extremos.

- Este segmento es importante, ya que será el inicio de la parte superior de la cabeza de Toad, y ampliaremos el número de mostacillas, específicamente usaremos 14 mostacillas (negras y rojas).

- De esta forma continuaremos el proceso, el número máximo de mostacillas que usaremos será de 17. A pesar de que todo iba marchando adecuadamente, se hizo complicado usar un mayor número de mostacillas, ya que los dos extremos de alambre no podían introducirse en el interior de las líneas de mostacillas.

Me encantan realizar este tipo de colgantes, ya que puedo usarlo en mis llaveros o en mis bolsos. A pesar de que requirió tiempo y existieron complicaciones, también fue divertido realizar o rediseñar el patrón para adaptarlo a la cantidad de materiales que yo poseía.
I love to make this kind of pendants, since I can use them on my keychains or on my bags. Although it was time-consuming and there were complications, it was also fun to make or redesign the pattern to fit the amount of materials I had.
