Warm greetings to you, friends; welcome back to my page🥰 please come along as I walk you through my latest earrings project. Last weekend I was super busy. I spent my free time experimenting with different kinds of beads and accessories; I wanted to create something simple yet elegant and beautiful. And this is one of them 🥰
It was a request from a five-year-old girl in my neighborhood; she is my favorite girl for her intelligence and smartness. She had visited me over the weekend and saw the earrings I had been making. I told her to pick anyone she liked, but she hesitated and told me to make an earring for her older sister instead. She told me her older sister's birthday is coming up in two weeks, and she would love to surprise her with it as a gift.
I was touched by her thoughtfulness and request, even though I was not very surprised for being very thoughtful for a girl of her age; I guess she is my favorite for some reason. I told her she could have one of the earrings I made, and I would make one for her elder sister as well.
So I made the pearl bead earrings for her 16-year-old sister yesterday. It is simple and easy to wear, and it goes with any casual outfit. I love the outcome, and I hope you do as well.
Material used;
✓20 size 6 pearl beads
✓2 special kinds of beads
✓Eye pins
✓Hooks
✓earrings wire
✓4 seed beads
Step-by-step process;
Step 1: I put a seed bead on the pin, followed by the special bead, followed by another seed bead, and then curve out the stopper. I called it a special bead since I couldn't find its name on the net. But if you know what it's called, kindly tell me in the comment section.
Here I was cutting out the excess pin just before curving a hook.
I curve out a hook where the wire will pass through.
I'm getting better at curving the hook, an improvement from my previous projects that I'm happy about.
The next step is to simply insert the wire through the hook of the special bead above, then put five pearl beads on both sides of the special bead.
Pardon me, I somehow forgot to take the photo of when I put pearl beads on both sides of the wire, but I hope you understand what I did.
Next step: I carefully curved the wire to give a good circle, then twisted the hands together.
Here I cut out the excess wire and left with just enough to curve a hook.
The next step is to simply curve the hook with the plier.
Next step: I put the earrings hook.
And ta-da, we have our beautiful earrings ready.
My girl will be coming by the weekend, and I can't wait to see her reaction when she sees it. And I hope her sister will appreciate her gift. As always, it was fun making this, and I hope that you like it😊
