Saludos a todos los creadores de esta comunidad, desde mi primer posteo en esta comunidad hace unos días, me ha agarrado la fiebre del macramé, hacía tanto tiempo que no hacía esta técnica que cuando volví a tomar la tabla y los hilos para hacer el proyecto surgieron muchas ideas más, es normal que esto suceda, hay un dicho o un consejo que he escuchado de boca de varias personas, este dice “cuando llegue la creatividad, que te encuentre trabajando” o algo parecido 😅, esto hace referencia a que los artistas y artesanos no siempre tenemos a la musa que nos inspire o nos faltan idea nuevas, pero no por eso debemos dejar de trabajar en nuestro arte siempre, de este modo cuando la “musa” llegue esta nos encontrará listos para poner manos a la obra. Por eso esta semana se me ocurrió hacer un nuevo diseño para un brazalete en macramé mientras estaba haciendo el proyecto anterior, pero esta vez con la imagen de un flamenco rosa.
Greetings to all the creators of this community, since my first post in this community a few days ago, I have been seized by macramé fever, it had been so long since I had done this technique that when I returned to take the table and the threads to do the project many more ideas came up, it is normal for this to happen, there is a saying or advice that I have heard from several people, it says "when creativity arrives, it finds you working" or something similar 😅, this refers to the fact that artists and artisans do not always have the muse to inspire us or we lack new ideas, but that is not why we should always stop working on our art, in this way when the "muse" arrives, she will find us ready to get down to work . That's why this week it occurred to me to make a new design for a macramé bracelet while I was doing the previous project, but this time with the image of a pink flamingo.
Ustedes se preguntaran ¿por qué un flamenco rosa?, pues la inspiración me llegó al recordar a mi sobrina de 13 años, ella se encuentra en secundaria, el uniforme es azul claro pero como a ella le encanta el color rosa, sus cuadernos son con imágenes de estos animales, asimismo su morral está hecho con tela con imágenes de flamencos, esto no es casualidad, pues mi hermana mandó a hacer ese morral personalizado con ese diseño especialmente para su hija , por lo me pareció un buena idea darle a mi sobrina un brazalete color azul claro con flamencos rosa para que luzca muy bien con su uniforme del colegio.
You may wonder, why a pink flamingo? Well, the inspiration came to me when I remembered my 13-year-old niece, she is in high school, her uniform is light blue but since she loves the color pink, her notebooks are with images of these animals, also her backpack is made with fabric with images of flamingos, this is no coincidence, because my sister had that personalized backpack made with that design especially for her daughter, so it seemed like a good idea to give it to my niece a light blue bracelet with pink flamingos to look great with her school uniform.
Materiales/ Materials
- Hilo acrílico para crochet: azul claro, rosa claro, rosa chicle, blanco y negro.
- Tabla con clip
- Tijeras
- Regla de 30 cm
- Papel milimetrado
- Lápiz
- Acrylic yarn for crochet: light blue, light pink, bubblegum pink, black and white.
- Board with clip

Proceso / Process
Como siempre hacer el patrón es la parte más importante pero a la vez la más divertida, es importante porque determinar el ancho del diseño nos da la cantidad de hebras guía para el brazalete, mientras que el alto del dibujo nos da el número de hileras de nudos, por eso nos permite determinar cuantas veces se podrá repetir el dibujo según el largo que queramos el brazalete. Este se hace con lápiz sobre papel milimetrado y cada cuadrado representa un nudo.
As always making the pattern is the most important part but at the same time the most fun, it is important because determining the width of the design gives us the number of guide threads for the bracelet, while the height of the drawing gives us the number of rows of knots, that is why it allows us to determine how many times the drawing can be repeated according to the length we want the bracelet to be. This is done with pencil on graph paper and each square represents a knot.
El diseño tiene 14 cuadros de ancho por lo que tomé la regla y medí 5 hebras de 60 cm y 2 hebras de 75 cm. Coloque las hebras más largas de cada lado y sujeté las hebras en la mitad del largo con el clip de la tabla, con las hebras del borde hice 20 nudos planos que envolvieron las hebras del centro.
The design is 14 squares wide so I took the ruler and measured 5 strands of 60cm and 2 strands of 75cm. Place the longer strands on each side and fasten the strands in the middle of the length with the board clip, with the edge strands I made 20 flat knots that wrapped around the center strands.
Estos pasos son básicos, por eso se repiten en casi todos los diseños, por eso es bueno aprenderlos para ponerlos en práctica en casi cualquier brazalete de macramé de este estilo. Doblé y enfrente las hebras para obtener el ojal y a su vez duplicar en número de hebras a 14. Coloque ordenadas las hebras y las sujeté con el clip de la tabla para dar comienzo, agregué la hebra adicional para hacer los nudos simples, inicié con la primera hilera de nudos de izquierda a derecha. Hice en total 4 hileras de borde antes de empezar con el flamenco.
These steps are basic, that is why they are repeated in almost all the designs, that is why it is good to learn them to put them into practice in almost any macrame bracelet of this style. I folded and faced the strands to get the buttonhole and in turn doubled the number of strands to 14. Lay the strands in order and fastened with the board clip to start, added the extra strand to make the overhand knots, started with the first row of knots from left to right. I did a total of 4 edging rows before starting with the flamingo.
Para el flamenco se agrega primero la hebra rosado claro, esta se usa en los tres primeros nudos que están ubicados después de 4 azules según el gráfico como pueden observar, hay que tener especial atención en la primer hilera, pues ubicar buen los nudos de esta hará más fácil el trabajo de guiarse según el gráfico porque son un puntos de referencia. Las hebras de otros colores se agregan por detrás igualmente.
For the flamingo, the light pink thread is added first, this is used in the first three knots that are located after 4 blue ones according to the graph, as you can see, special attention must be paid to the first row, since the knots of this one must be located correctly. it will make the job of guiding yourself according to the graph easier because they are reference points. The strands of other colors are added from behind as well.
Luego de terminar el primer flamenco, hice 4 hileras de nudos azules, para después hacer el segundo flamenco, al terminar este hice nuevamente 4 hileras de nudos azules para finalizar. Luego dividí el número de hebras guía en conjunto con la hebra de anudar e hice dos trenzas terminadas con un nudo.
After finishing the first flamingo, I made 4 rows of blue knots, to later do the second flamingo, when I finished this I made 4 rows of blue knots again to finish. Then I divided the number of guide strands together with the knotting strand and made two braids finished with a knot.

El resultado del fondo azul con el flamenco rosa es muy lindo, se que a mi sobrina le gustará, espero dárselo en su próxima visita. Espero a ustedes también les haya gustado 🤗🦩
