I Got the opportunity to decorate for the first time in Christmas.
Yes I always celebrate with my family. We mostly do the cooking and hosting but decorations have never really been a thing in my house.
So last year the agency I work with wanted to add a touch of decorations to the look of the gym we manage so everyone can get into the while Christmas spirit and also gifting spirit since we had our last session of tabata around the corner and we had this whole planning phase and came up with the them “santa comes to tabata”
The aim of a themed tabata was to prioritize gifting amongst the clients and also spread love and oneness in our community. Planning was so good and we set a day for these decorations.
Like I said earlier I've never really done this. Most of the knowledge I have about art is because I'm a fiber artist (crocheter) so that helps a lot in situations like this.
My own task was to make bows that will be attached to Christmas balls and my colleague did wrapping the boxes and another one put up the decorations on the wall.
I got there and I got to work but after the first bow I made my brain froze and I literally forgot how I had just done it. It was so funny and we all laughed about it because I literally just made it so how did I forget.
After laughing lol. It was hilarious. I searched on YouTube and saw a tutorial for it and yeah I saw it and my brain got on track again and I got back to doing my part.
I made I think 6 or 8 of these I don't remember the exact number of bows that I had made that day and we put them on the wall one after the other and yeah it felt really good that I was a part of all that and i didnt know what to expect since it was actually my first time participatingin one of these.
The process of making these bows was amazing. We talked, mostly about random things. We laughed a whole lot.
Trust me, my brain forgetting was the least funny thing that happened that day. We ate and then we got to work together on something so pretty.
Fast forward to the day of the last tabata in 2024. We all came out to have fun, there was the stretch, the tabata session, the gift exchange and group pictures. It went smoothly.
The gift exchange was amazing and the fun was just so fun. I dunno if I'm right but I guess i was technically dressed as one of Santa's elves. I don't know how to put it. It was a great way to end the year and yeah cheers to a better 2025
Cheers to many more DIY posts in 2025. There's a lot I hsvevsaved as inspos. I can't wait
