Greetings to everyone and I welcome you all to my blog. Cardboard, often overlooked as mere waste material offers an incredible medium for creativity and utility in DIY project. My brother was given a project in school to create a building using any material of his choice and so when he sought for my guidance in doing it I accepted. When he told me about it I saw it as an opportunity to showcase my creativity and help him with his project as well, so I offered to do it using cardboard and It turned out great. It took me about three days to complete this project but when I was done it was really beautiful, here's how I crafted this cardboard building.
MATERIALS USED
• Cartons
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Ruler
• Evostik gum
LET'S BEGIN
step 1
First I drew my foundation on a rectangular piece of cardboard , then I took some measurements using my ruler.
step 2
I then gum two cardboard which I have measure to the two side.
step 3
After doing that, I then placed another piece of cardboard in-between them, then I covered the other two sides with a rectangular cardboard as well.
step 4
As I still continued with my construction, I then measured 3cm in height on my cardboard, then I gum it round the building to serve as the foundation. I also made the floor at the front of the building and the steps to climb.
step 5
At this step, I then finished constructing the pillars and the roof over the floor, then I made a door for entering the building.
step 6
I also constructed a floor at the other side of the building, raised pillars , roofed it and made doors to serve as the entrance. Then I constructed some windows and added it to the building.
step 7
Here I added a cardboard at the roof of the building and then I used my black marker and paint the windows black.
step 8
I then roofed my building by adding a peeled cardboard on top of it, then I constructed three big windows at the back of the building and then I added some finishing touches to it as well.
step 9
Lastly I then added a toy car to my building to serve as a car and my project was finally complete.
It was actually time consuming, and stressful too but in all my creation was perfectly made. In a world where waste management is growing concern, such project reminds us of the power of creativity and what our hands can do to turn trash into something valuable. I hope you liked my post, thanks for sticking with me till the end, till my next post bye for now.
