Hello everyone. You are welcome to my blog I hope you all are doing great?? It's been a while here. I thank God for the privilege to witness another day.
My sister wanted a simple dolman gown so I went to Pinterest to check for styles, I told her to choose, then she chose, immediately I started to work
A dolman gown is one of the less expensive clothes to make which doesn't require spending too much and one can even make use of the same fabric for facing, with the way material is getting expensive day by day, people prefer sewing styles that they do not spend too much on especially when they need it urgently. It usually have a sleeve very wide at the armhole and tight at the wrist often cut in one piece with the bodice
The joy of a fashion designer is to always get cloth with which they will be creative with, since she kept emphasizing on not having any money that she just want to see it simple and I have her measurement already I set to work with the 3 yards ankara fabric.
Material
All I made use was the thread and the same cloth for the facing
Folded into four to cut the front and back in a vertical position (from up and down)
Measurement
I marked out her bust, waist and hip which I added extra 4 inches allowance, she wants it to be free.
Then I cut the facing. And did the hemming
It came out nice on her. She doesn't really like snapping pictures, I made her take one.
Thanks for stopping by
