Hello Hello,
I can't believe the last time I made a post here was last year 😊 lol, welcome to my first blog of the year. This wasn't supposed to be my first post this year, but since it was supposed to come to life before Christmas, I just have to get it out of the way. I wish every one of us a prosperous year in 2025. May this year bless us with great health, wealth, lots of joy, and happiness, and may we crush all our goals.
A while ago, @neblomax asked if I could bead a snowman; here it is, I thought I would be able to bring it to life before Christmas, but I have been so occupied with offline activities that I haven't blogged about the snowman. Even though I was able to make it a day before Christmas, just in time to give it to two of my neighbor's kids, who have been great fans of my beadwork.
So please, come along and let me show you the step-by-step process.
Materials needed:
✓ Seed beads; red, white, green, and
✓ one yellow color.
✓ 0.25 fishlines,
✓ beading needle,
✓ scissors.
Method used:
To bead the snowman, I used a brick stitch method; this gave me the ability to increase or decrease the size of the beads to get the desired shape. And I hope you will like how it turned out.
Step-by-step process:
Step 1:
I started by threading 120cm 0.25 fishlines on my needle and then put six white beads, one red bead, and five white beads on my fishline; I used my needle to pass through the beads twice to make the beads firm.
Step 2:
Starting with two white beads and putting Them on my second thread line, I added Six white beads, two green beads, and three white beads to the next line.
Step 3:
Here, I started by putting two white beads on my first thread line, followed by three green beads and six white beads, and finished the line by adding one more white bead to the side of my thread line; this made the line expand, as you might notice in the image below.
Step 4:
I started this line with two white beads on the second thread line, followed by five more white beads, three green beads, and one white bead.
Step 5:
To continue to build the body, I added two more rows of white, green, and red beads.
Step 6:
Starting with two white beads on the second thread line, I added another row of four white, one green, two red, and three white beads.
Step 7:
Starting with one white and one red bead on the second thread line, I added one white, one red, one yellow, one red, three green, and two white beads to this row.
Step 8:
Starting with one white and one green, I added one white, four green, two red, and one green bead to this row.
Step 9:
Using white, green, and black beads, I added two rows appropriately.
Step 10:
I started with two white beads on the first fishline; I added three white, one black, and three white beads on this row.
Step 11:
Starting with two white beads on the first fishline, I added three white, one red, and four white beads on this row.
Step 12:
Starting with two white beads on the first fishline, I added two white, one black, two white, one black, and three white beads on this row.
Step 13:
Starting with two white beads on the second thread line I added one row of white beads.
Step 14:
I added two rows of black beads to start building the hat
Step 15:
Here I simply passed my fishline to come out on the hole of the third bead.
Step 16:
As you can see below, I added the appropriate colors to design the hat.
Step 17:
Here I finished building the hat with red, green, and black color
Step 19:
I simply added three rows of white beads to complete the bottom and our dearest snowman is ready to rock the Winter heheh. I passed around all my excess fishlines to secure the work, then trimmed off the excess.
Here is the final look, what do you think about my snowman? My neighbor's kids love it so much and it makes me very happy.😊
Have a beautiful holiday, and if it's still wintertime in your country, let our dear snowman be a reminder and a great hope that after the winter, there shall come a warm and beautiful springtime.
The End❣️
