Hello everyone,
Beautiful morning to you all my DIY family. Today I will be sharing with us my latest beaded bag design. The last time I went to the bead store to get new beads, I came accross this particular bead which is diffrent to the crystal beads I've been working with. This is my first time working with this type of bead and I ended up liking it because it is quite beautiful and unique.
One thing I also love about this bead is that, just like crystal beads, it stands. It doesn't curl nor fall. Though it doesn't stand like crystal beads that is firmer, this one allows more flexibility. Crystal beads gives this straight line bend while this bead gives a curvy bead. I love that factor too about the bead because it will fit some special styles like this one.
Below I will be showing us how I achieve this bag.
MATERIALS USED
- Wine beads
- 0.75mm fishing line
- Scissors
- A pair of golden D rings
PROCESS
- Firstly, I did 20 palm rolls of fishing line, made my first flower, repeated the same process till I got my desired width. Then I continued laying the beads upon each other till I got the desired length. Then I skipped the first flower on both sides to create the flap and I made 6rows for the flap.
- Next, I beaded the first side as seen below.
- Next, I repeated same thing for the second side.
- After that, I brought out the pair of D rings and I beaded the rings to the sides as seen below giving the sides a design.
- Here the first phase of the bag is complete.
- Then I started beading the unique flap a row inside the upper cover in the middle.
- I continued beading the flap until I got the desired length.
- Finally, I fixed the magnets and I beaded a long handle on the D rings and voila, our bag is ready.
