You know that moment when you create something with your hands and you just can’t believe you did it against all odds? That’s the same way I feel l whenever I complete a DIY project without giving up.
So my boss’s birthday is in a few days and I thought about what to give him as a birthday gift but I just couldn’t think of anything tangible as my boss is wealthy and doesn’t like people to give him gifts as he would rather be the one giving the gifts.
As the day went by I thought harder and harder until I decided on making a candy box with different goodwill messages in it. Since I usually don’t get the chance to tell him how amazing he is as a boss I thought to put it into writing. With every candy he opens, he gets to read amazing messages. I hope this makes him smile as this gift was beautifully crafted by me with so much love.
To achieve this candy box of good will messages I used the following materials.
Materials
Paper
Paint
Paintbrush
Scissors
Razor blade
Gum
Transparent nylon
Procedure
Step 1:
I started by cutting different sizes of paper as this would be used to make the candy.
Step 2:
I painted the pieces of paper with different colours, this is to make my candy box colourful as each colour will do its magic.
Step 3:
I proceeded to apply gum to one side of my paper this is to secure the edges of my candies so the messages don’t fall out.
Step 4:
Making sure my candy is well secured I cut some pieces of paper and with this paper, I write all the messages I want.
Step 5:
I fold the messages properly and place them in my candies and afterward, I gum the other part of my candies.
Step 6:
I proceeded to make my candy box with my cardboard paper. I folded my cardboard into two and created an opening.
Step 7:
I used a transparent nylon to cover the space in between my box and for a firmer hold, I used my gum to achieve this.
Step 8:
I sealed the bottom part of my candy box and proceeded to carefully put my candy into the box.
Step 9:
I added some finishing touches to my candy box and it was ready!!
There you have it guys a box of candy filled with goodwill messages made with so much love.
I’d love to know what you all think about my candy box, is this something you’d love to give to a friend or a loved one?
