Greetings;
Welcome to my blog. I would like to use this opportunity to wish all of you a happy Easter Sunday, may your days be full of joy. Im someone that always tries to learn new things and for that matter, i try to do things myself like fixing my shoes, sowing my torn trousers and a lot of things. You would be probably shocked if i told you all the things i can do. I came home for the Easter break and saw that my mum was gifted an electic fan. But the plug was missing so the naked wires were left exposed.
Luckily for her i just came at the right time so she asked me to try and fix a plug for her. So I quickly went to an electrical shop and got one. Now its time to fix it. I thought we had a screw driver at home unfortunately i was wrong. So i improvised and opted to use a knife to help me unscrew the nots. So the materials i used were the knife and the plug.
Step 1
The electric fan has two wires the live wire(brown) and the nuetral wire(blue). So it means i would only be using two sides of the plug( the plug can take up to three wires). For the first step, i passed both wires under the support which is purposely there to hold the wires.
Step 2
Now we insert the neutral wire in the hole right on top of the metal pin. Its even colored blue to let you know the neutral wire goes there. After putting in, use your screw driver to tighten it and place it back.
Step 3
The live wire is next, the live wire is then connected to the next port. It’s located by the fuse. You can take it out for easy insertion. Once you put it in, tighten it up and put it back.
Step 4
Place the fuse back by slotting it inbetween the two pins. Press it gently untill it connects the two pins together.
Step 5
Close it back with the cover and use your screw driver to tighten the not back. Make sure its very tight to prevent it from falling apart.
These are the simply steps I followed to successfully fix my plug. I had to plug it into a source of power to find out if it actually worked. And when i did, the Standing fan was working.
Thank you for stopping by and i hope to see you another time until then have a wonderful holiday.
