Fan-Art Drawing of Spirit of The Forest. Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest.

Hello Everyone

How are you?

I'm here again today to share another of my fan-art digital drawings with you. I've been taking all your suggestions and tips in mind and these are helping me a lot to improve my skills. First of all, I'd like to thank you all for all your suggestions and inspiring comments. I've been practising and trying new ideas to improve my drawing skills day by day. I've been drawing using traditional tools for a long time, but just recently I've started doing digital drawings too. And I'm glad that learning it was successful. The character that I'll share today is named Spirit of The Forest.

  • I used my graphics tablet with my laptop to draw this one. I used the ibis paint software to draw it. And I'm sharing this drawing to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll also share the link to the contest below, you can check it out if you feel interested.

  • First of all, I drew the structure of her face and body using a charcoal pencil tool from the software. I started with her face and hair and then her body, dress and the horn and leaves on her head.
  • Then I drew the background behind her first. Because this drawing is going to have a lot of detailing and extra parts around it, I drew the background first. Then I started working on her hair and skin tone. I started with, drawing with her eyes first and then the tone of her facial skin. Then her body and hair.
  • In this step I colored her hair and horns and then re-touched the background to make it darker. This gave the background a deep forest-type look.
  • Then in this part I coloured the leaves on her body and head. Now, I need to draw her dress and re-touch the whole drawing to finalize it. I've used the oil brush tool in these final steps to bring out the glowing look.
  • In this step I completed her body tone and hair colour. I also drew her dress and made the side parts blurry to keep the focus on the main drawing for the viewers. I'll just change her skin tone a bit and complete her necklace in the final step.
