Of all dresses that make one feel confident and look gorgeous with a hint of simplicity, it is a wrap dress.
I love wrap dresses and will sure make a lot for my wardrobe.
There are so many ups to it; a one-piece outfit that looks like a two-piece not to forget how it sinches at the waist to show that figure, if you like that sort of thing.
First, as always I drew out what I had in mind to create.
Then I cut out all the parts I would need to create the dress.
Then I joined the different parts together.
The top, the skirt part, the puffy sleeves and the two belts;
This is the skirt part above and the skirt part opened wide below.
Where I had a dilemma, was attaching the belts and creating a hole for one of the belts to pass. I created gathers at the tip of the belt and then attached them to the edge of both the skirt and top.
What I discovered is that in sewing and other handy jobs, you need to have a truckload of patience and resilience. Even when you’ve made a mistake, use it to create a new design. That is why it is said to leave an allowance for error, to correct a mistake more easily.
