December 20: Hot Cider Day
Today, Friday, December 20, is a special day: We celebrate the day of a delicious, very traditional and special drink. It is a drink that is consumed especially in its countries of origin, which are Spain and Portugal, but also in Latin America; especially in summer, to refresh and brighten the celebrations: SANGRIA.
The origin of this drink is located between Spain and Portugal, approximately from the year 1800, when the peasants who worked those lands refreshed their days with a drink based on wine or cider, to which they added various fruits of seasonal, such as apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, oranges, etc., a very refreshing and delicious mix.

There are various versions of Sangria, there are even some recipes to which sodas are added, especially citrus flavors. It can be made with white wine or red wine, and even apple cider. The fruit combinations will depend on the taste and availability of each person, but a balance is always achieved between sweet and acidic.
If Sangría is intended for children or people who do not consume alcohol, there is a non-liquor version, made with fruit juice or soda, to which various fruits are also added. And, do you like Sangría?
