The benefits of consuming fruits and vegetables
Fruits are an excellent source of essential vitamins and minerals, and they are high in fiber. Fruits also provide a wide range of health-boosting antioxidants that helps the body system and improve one's immunity to diseases.
Eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables can reduce a person’s risk of developing heart disease, cancer, inflammation, and diabetes. Citrus fruits and berries may be especially powerful for preventing disease.
Eating more fruit is an excellent way to improve overall health and reduce the risk of disease.
Unless you are following a ketogenic diet or have some sort of intolerance, there really is no reason to limit the amount of fruit you eat. While most studies suggest that the optimal amount is two to five servings of fruit per day, there seems to be no harm in eating more.
There's a saying that goes: "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away".
If the fruit or vegetable can't be eaten in it's natural form, it can be made into a smoothie which isn't bad for consumption.
