Hello all Hive People & Splinterlands lovers,
The Splinterlands team always do some new experiment to make the game more interesting and fun. To continuum to same and to make game more understandable to new players, the training mode has been introduced recently. The training mode is good option for new players as well as for old players also who want to test their skill level for higher league, even without unlocking the lower level leagues. Their was already a challenge mode which is very similar to the training mode. The training mode do not consume any energy, and also not effect the rating of the player. Its for fun and test the skills without effecting the normal ranked battle game, so if you win or lost the battle in the training mode this will not effect in any way your ranked game play. As you are nor consuming any energy so you will also not gaining any rewards (SPS or glints points) for the training battle. Lets have a look at training feature of Splinterlands.
The training option is available on the right top side when we are main page of ranked play. You can find the challenge option also beside the training.
Step into the training grounds, where you can sharpen your skill and test new strategies - without loosing your place on the leaderboard.
Once you click on the training you will see the below tab which has different options to choose form. Lets check all options one by one.
First filter is difficulty and players has to choose one option form three difficulty levels i.e. Easy, Medius and Hard. The options are very straight forwarded - if you want to test the basic level strategy and skill level choose the easy and change it to medium or hard as your want to test more difficult strategies and skills.
Adjust your opponent's skill level as you refine your strategy and enhance your gameplay.
Nest is to choose the Allowed Cards. Here we have four options - All cards, Modern, Ghost Cards, Ghost Modern. To make it simplify understand all cards means the Wild format.
The fist two option (All Cards & Modern) allows you to play with the cards you own or rented (cards you play ranked game) and the Ghost cards make available to you all the cards to play (the cards you do not even own or rented).
Choose what type of cards you may choose in this game.
Next and last is Summoner Level Caps - Limit the maximum level of cards to even the playing field. This is similar to the league level and players can choose form the Novice to the Expert. Here Novice means the wood league and Expert is equivalent to the Champion league.
Just click on the SEND button to start the training battle.
I played a battle in training mode the setting were - Difficulty was medium, Allowed Cards - Ghost Cards, Summoner Level Cap - Expert. It was low mana battle and unfortunately I lost battle but good ting is I do not lost anything like energy or ranking.
The battle I played was looks so easy but at the end I lost the same. I found the option is very effective if some one want to learn the more about the game play and the different strategies. The players can even play without owing the cards. Its like test and choose.
I will recommend to check the option and give it a try for sure.
