For God to use you, you need to gain confidence. To possess your possession, you need to possess the land because your land holds your possession.
You also need to resolve key issues of life if you truly want God to use you. Irrespective of Moses' shortcomings, God still used him. Are you ready to be used by God? You also have a part to play. There must be a willingness from your part. Hebrews 11:23-27 captures everything and says a lot about Moses' willingness.
A lot of people struggle with their identity. Who are you? Who are you pretending to be? Moses was raised by Pharaoh's slaughter but choose not to be identified as that. He chose the path of the Hebrew and ignored the comfort of the Palace. We were told Moses refused...which states it was a choice he took back then. The question is, who are you? Who are you pretending to be? Who are you when no one else is looking at you? You have to know who you are first if you want God to use you the way He would like to.
There are certain situations that are outside your control when it comes to life but there are still certain situations that are within your control. When a defining moment comes, define the moment or else the moment defines you.
Most people want to live their lives on the approval of others. That's when you mount up stress because you are trying to be who you are not. A lot of people want to meet up with the expectations of others.
For God to use you, you must accept responsibility. To err is human and to blame another person is even more human. We see problems with everything else except ourselves. We make excuses for ourselves but drag others down for the same. We see ourselves as victims all the time rather than take responsibilities for our reality. We all have the gift of choice...we have to take responsibility. We cannot feature in a future that we cannot pictures...so everything starts with us. We have a part to play in the grand scheme of things. Speed is useless when you are heading in the wrong direction. When you take responsibility for your actions, then you are taking initiative for your actions.
Determine your priorities if God wants to use you. What are you values? What code are you living by? What are those things that are important to you? In Economics, there is something we call "Scale of Preference" and it explains listing of human wants in order of priorities. What are those things that matter to you? They explains who you are and where your heart is. Where you treasure is, that's where you heart would be. God searches the heart of every man and knows the intentions thereof.
God's purpose is more valuable than popularity. Moses chose purpose over popularity especially seeing how powerful Egypt was at that time.
God's people are also more valuable than pleasures and this is what Moses lived by. He left the comfort of the Palace to suffer with God's people.
Having a vision gives you direction and it takes away distractions for you. Who is in charge of your life would determine who you give most of your time to... God? Devil? Yourself?
Thank you for your time.
