We make mistakes. And there is no immune to that unless we learn the lesson and put it into practice. Even after we take precautions not to repeat that mistake again in our life, the chances are we will keep making the same mistake again and again if we only learn the lesson to get ourselves off the list and not embrace it wholeheartedly.

Besides, not learning from our mistakes put extra pressure on our minds and makes us restless in the process. In the worst scenario, we can lose our confidence and most importantly, self-esteem. And that, my friend, is something you won't want to lose even if you have to risk your life.
Talking about the context….
For a couple of days, weeks to the most, I have been experiencing dramatic mistakes done by people here on Hive. Well, it’s not like it didn’t exist earlier; probably I didn’t notice then.
Or, should I say it’s been happening following the gyre trend— repeating the same thing after a specific time, 1000 years or around. But in Hive's context, it's more frequent.
The most common mistakes people are making on this blogging platform are plagiarising their content and using images without any sort of acknowledgment or proper citation to the sources.
Well, when blogging is the backbone of a blockchain, undoubtedly plagiarism is going to be the primary foe associates will battle against—but this shouldn’t be inflicted in such a degree that best resonates with a swarm of locusts heading towards a green pasture.
In fact, the current situation is quite intense and puts hive watchers in the challenge to detect and impose a penalty before the insects consume the reward leaving no chance to send it back to the pool.
I have noticed the battle to keep the ecosystem clean and well-oiled in the community I am dearly attached to. Authors are getting onboarded every now and then and taking the advantage of a 'good relationship' with the seniors and exploiting the reward pool no less than that of a locust. Away from the plain sight, not only they are polluting the community but putting it at the risk of inviting more scammers. And when they are exposed, they pretend to be the most innocent of all— but the time is up. And those who don’t learn their lesson timely get what they deserve.

However, I don't see an alternative to onboarding the authors by trusting their words in the first place— for now. As the platform is open to all and doesn't have any specific specialisation as the joining criteria, how can you prevent them from polluting the space?
So, the risk has to be taken.
And, it has brought a number of talented authors so far— not to mention some of them have talents in versatile fields, including but not limited to prose, poetry, satire, digital art, gaming, technology, and what not! In fact, a healthy ecosystem requires the presence of all sorts of creatures— ranging from microbes to whales and everything in between.
However, we cannot afford to make mistakes even though it doesn't cause immediate death as they used to our ancestors in the cave. Making mistakes affects our mind, brain, and even our daily life. As mentioned earlier, it can degrade our self-confidence, we must try our best to avoid that annoying feeling of making mistakes.
Easier said than done, right?
But if we can convince ourselves and put the lesson learned into our practice, the brain itself will leverage the once negative energy into bringing the very best of our life. It can pave the way for the ultimate success we all crave and strive for. And that’s what smart people do— doing it right from the start.
