Splinterlands social media challenge - Reward cards

in #hive-1902123 months ago

Hello gamers, I hope you guys are doing okay... it's another time of the week to share or talk about splinterlands, the recent update has created alot of changes which I'm still trying to fully catch up with but I think everything will balance in no time. So quick one about the recent update, I have a little thing to talk about.
As we're all eagerly awaiting the upcoming reward cards update, which will be available immediately after the current season ends. This update is highly anticipated, especially after the previous announcement about the Chaos Legion soulbound reward cards, which have significantly impacted the game. Although I haven't fully maxed out these cards, I've leveled up some of them, including the summoners, which I believe will be valuable in the future. The good news is that we'll be able to unbind and transfer these cards to other players, but the unbinding cost seems high, which could drive up the card's price if there's demand.

The most exciting part of the announcement is the introduction of new Rebellion soulbound cards in the next season, which appear to be game-changers based on their design and stats. It's crucial to have these cards to remain competitive. Fortunately, they can be earned using glint, making it accessible to players with enough resources. Let's make a quick review at the new abilities coming with these cards."

The introduction of debilitation abilities, which harm allied cards instead of opponents, adds a new layer of strategy. There are currently three debilitation abilities: Incendiary (reapplies burning at the start of each round, with a 33% chance to spread to other allied cards), Electrified (deals 1 damage to all allied cards at the end of each round), and Weary (renders a card useless at a 10% chance, increasing up to 80% each round). These abilities require careful consideration, especially when using cards with low health."

One ability that stands out to me is the unique mimicry skill, which allows players to copy opponents' abilities starting from round 2, with a 25% chance of successful mimicry every other round. This ability can be game-changing, but it comes with a risk - the gained abilities can be dispelled by opponents. I'm still figuring out how to maximize this ability's potential, considering the duration of each battle round and the limitations on which abilities can be mimicked (excluding weapon training, debilitations, targeting abilities, ambush, flank, reach, charge, and taunt).
I'm really trying my best to become a better player every now and then and I believe with my consistency, I'll also be at the top soon.
Splinterlands has always been a fun game and it's getting more and more interesting, SPL is one of the most amazing game I've ever seen.

Great insights on the upcoming updates! The new Rebellion soulbound cards and debilitation abilities sound like they’ll add a lot of depth to the game. Looking forward to seeing how these changes impact gameplay!
