It is another successful week again in the splinterverse and it isn't that easy to be honest especially after I decided to port to Modern rank battle since last season, it just felt like going to a new location and trying to find your way or adjust to the environment. Playing Modern make me remember those days when I just start playing the game, it was really hard back then and very hard to win battle this time around but the difference there is the fact that I'm already figuring out which strategy to play with but I still need to start securing modern based monster cards. This season, the wild pass was introduced to the wild format battle which require playing to play either 2k dec/decb/credit or use 40 voucher to purchase every season and have access to play the wild format, with the look of things, I think people will have to comply with this new change because wild is the easiest format with more players which modern is the other way around but less reward in both glint and sps.

Well who won't want an extra 50% in rewards but you have to work extra hard for that extra juice, this week I had to rent most choas and rebellion cards I can come across but cap at gold league since I'm battling in sliver , a little push to gold league then off to diamond which is my mission for now and also to earn more glint that what I'm currently earning. While playing the battle, I had an coincidental battle and how I won it was surprising, at first I saw the mana capped which was 15 and to me, it is really below average and to play this kind of battle, one will need to think well just to know which kind setup he will use, firstly it was the Unprotected ruleset which means no armour and using protect ability won't work and we only have 2 element to pick from which is death and water (my two favourite element).

Since we have low mana capped, I need healing cards so I decided to use death element instead of water and I picked Thaddius brood because I want to use anti-cards strategy and brood have -1 magic and -1 health impact on my opponent cards leaving me with 11 mana. I picked Cursed Windeku as my frontline with both healing and thorn ability to dealt damage back to my opponent melee incase he use 1, then I picked Venari Bonesmith with leech and poison ability with the 1 mana capped left , I picked Carrion Shade and Corpse Fiend then I submit the battle but was shocked with what I met. My opponent came with the same exact cards but higher levels than mine and upon seeing that, I lost hope in winning the battle.

First of all, he reduce my speed with slow ability and that gave him the chance to attack first and we both apply poison on both windeku almost the same time and both destroyed together too, then it was the venari battle which now changed the whole game, he wasn't able to poison mine but I poison is which gave me more advantage and it was a win situation for me, it was really surprising but a big turnaround.
