I've always been very attached to my family. My mom Emília, and my grandparents, Barbosa and Lica. My fathers, Rubem and Paulo.
My aunts Aslia, Lia, Rosa, Dalva, Josélia, Nadir, Zica. Vera, Vivian, and my uncles Naldo and Bob. So it came to me very precious feelings, to give value family's life.
I've always observed everything, even the little ones, and especially how to treat simple people: with care, love, and sensitivity.
The Bela Vista farm used to belong to my uncles William & Aslia. Now it belongs to my cousins Léo and Fernanda, who transformed my favorite childhood spot into an even better place. A magical farm!
At the place where the employees lived, deeper in the atlantic forest, was always muddy , so Léo realized that there, was a water mine, and so, bingo!
The cloudy tank where the ducks and cows drank water became a pool of running mineral water! Today he is already bottling and selling Corte Real mineral water.
The various small storerooms for keeping corn, rice, guava jelly, and agricultural tools, were transformed into a long open colonial kitchen, with a large stove, benches, and tables made of tree trunks. The large terrace for drying coffee and the larger milk corral are preserved.
I played a lot at Fazenda Bela Vista with my cousins Guilherme, Rosália, Fábio, Leonardo, and Evandro. Lulu did not like to play with us. She was busy dating her cousin Sérgio.
I swam with them in the Pomba River, in canoes made from banana trees, hollowed out by bamboo's sticks, and with buoys from my Uncle's William truck's wills. We loved to live at the 'tips' of the trees, eating Guavas, Abios, Jambos, and other succulent fruits.
My Mom Emília died very young, at just 58 years old. She was the sweetest, most intelligent, and wonderful person I had ever known. She contracted a virus in a blood transfusion after a car accident. At the time, nobody knew about hepatitis C. My mother's last request was that I never separate from my brothers Rubão and Pedro.
So, up to now, my brothers and I are very close. Even though we live in different cities. I'm in Rio de Janeiro, Rubão in Minas, near Lagoa Santa, at Gruta da Lapinha, and Pete in Florianópolis.
They are my best Friends! As well as Ju, Pete's son, who I love so much, he lives in NYC. I also have another brother, Thiago, who is my neighbor and I also love so much! He is always helping me. We are also very close.
My brothers Rubão, Pete and Thiago, as well as Ju are my most special treasure!
