When I was in college, I lived in a boarding house. My boardmates were fine because we lived in the same town, Tabogon. The challenges that I encountered during my college days were less because they were my backup supporters too. I think we did not experience a big conflict of being together for four years and I was thankful for that. My stay was smooth at that time.
Even though we enrolled in different classes and different shifts in classes, it was not a burden for us. We understood each other and it was the best ingredients why all of us finished our studies and we were now working professionally.
So, when one of my boardmates told us that she would have a church wedding and asked me if we could attend because she would include me and my husband as the mass offerer during her wedding luckily, my schedule was free, and if there was no unexpected event, my husband and I could attend the event. We gladly accepted the invitation.
In every event that needs to be presentable, I usually contact my previous client to be my makeup artist because she was my make-up artist since she started learning how to do makeup and it's been six years.
Unfortunately, the day before the wedding when I contacted my makeup artist, she was not available at the wedding day. So, I had no choice but to do DIY (Do It Yourself/Myself). The evening before the day, I went to Bogo City to buy basic makeup for the first-time user. Yeah, it would be my first time to do my makeup.
On the day of the wedding, I was so confident that I could manage my makeup but when I let my husband decide, he was not satisfied because the result was not balanced. So, he had no choice but to be my makeup artist instead for the reason that he was a critic in terms of my makeup.
He was good at using the eyeliner and putting eye shadow. Hahaha, though the output was not really a "wow" effect but it was fine as long as I was presentable compared to my ordinary days.
Through this wedding, I discovered that my husband had a hidden talent and I had no worries if I had no makeup artist available because my husband was on the go about doing my makeup.
