It's been a long time since I last saw the sea, and it was only during our trip yesterday that I got the chance to see, feel, and smell the freshness of the sea. And oh, how I miss it! We are just 5 minutes away from the sea, but just thinking about the expensive fare is enough for me to back out, lol. I mean, it is really not expensive, it's 20 pesos per head, and it's another 20 going back - but it is already expensive for me. So I just don't bother going. Lol.
This is the time that we're about to onboard on the Starlite Ferries. Someone picked us up in the waiting area, and he led us directly to the ferry. Going there made me so excited. I am also sweating cold because deep inside I am a bit anxious. Lol. I can't help, I am just feeling anxious for some reason. Maybe because of excitement and the thought that I'm about to go somewhere far is making me a bit nervous, lol.
Anyways, here it is, this is also the time that I am getting closer to the sea. The cold wind is proof that I am really near the sea. It's far different from the fresh wind at home. And yeah, as you can see, we are already inside the ferry here. We're brought to the upper deck, it is air conditioned here, and we are really comfortable, though it is super cold. Ah, we were the first to arrive inside, so we got the chance to choose a nice comfortable seat and spot for us.
And this is what it looks like inside. They have a little shop in one corner, they sell ice cream too. They have snacks, and they even sell rice and two kinds of dishes, which are beef and porky. We didn't buy them though because we had prepared food with us.
I craved for some ice cream, so I bought this Rocky Road ice cream before having our lunch. It is a different brand, and this brand is not that bad, it tastes so chocolatey too. Not too sweet, just enough sweetness.
And here's our lunch, we had a problem here because Mama forgot our utensils, lol. The good thing is, we have plastic, so we use it while eating using our hands, lol. We didn't eat that much too, just a few bites just to fill my stomach.
And here's the beautiful sea. I really thought we were not moving because it's really slow. But when we check outside, it is actually moving faster. We can see and feel it more outside than when we're inside. I'm really glad the water is calm. I watched a short video on Facebook about this small ferry, it was as if it were being washed away because of how strong the wave was. Well, we are onboarded on a big ferry, so it's impossible for us to experience that. Hehe. The water is really a scary thing!
We arrived in Batangas Port safe and sound. And from here on, another adventure begins.
The sea can be a bit scary, that's the reason why it's not my favorite. But seeing it once in a while and smelling its freshness can be a good thing too. With it's calming effect and the sound of the wave as if it is a lullaby, that's just a few things why I can like the sea. And it feels good to see it even just once. How about you?
