I'm living in exciting times. There are two game projects I follow on Hive. Surgent gaming and their Astral Revelation and Astral Wars games and for a much longer time the upcoming hit
WOO
I have written a lot of posts why I love WOO, I created overviews of the project, made tools to help players and created overview posts to translate what is coming according to the whitepaper/dirtsheet of the game.
The current best resource to get a basic overview of the game is here : https://woo-2.gitbook.io/wrestling-organization-online/wrestling-organization-online/what-is-woo
Thanks Bladewing and what ever you Hive account may be!
Now I believe I'm one of the oldest supporters of WOO, and I am in a great company, I got the chance to help with the Alpha testing of the game. This article won't have any sneak peaks of it yet. This is the story behind the first game I fought against my alt account (basically myself) according to the history of what happened during the matches. This is most probably the 1st match ever, which was not played by the core team (such a honor)! So enjoy the read:
Undercard Match Men:
Billy Mayhem vs. Chase Martin
Billy is fighting with Speed, Chase with stamina. The fight starts on fair grounds, both wrestlers exchange hits and Billy as well as Chase got their first Finisher in and tried to end the game. Chase had his best chance in round 3 with already a a 50% chance to pin Billy down, but he kicked out of it. The next round will be Billy's last if he does not do something unexpected... And the miracle happened. Billy used maid a side step and evaded the grasps of Chase Martin. At this point he got the upper hand in this fight. While Chase tried to build up his moves again Billy did one finisher after another and when Chase was just about to get to his final move Billy pinned him down and won the fight.
Undercard Match Women:
Akemi Ishii vs. Ida Mae
This was in no way a fair fight. Ida overpowered Akemi in most stats: she was faster and had a meaner punch. Akemi had a bit more health, but this was not enough. Ida was systematically beating down on Akemi, and in the 3rd round with a double damage from her finisher she could pin an exhausted Akemi to the mat.
Undercard Match Teams:
Dueling Daltons vs Musk Sheik
Speed vs. Strength could describe this fight the best. If Musk Sheik hits, then it hurts, but will they hit?
In the 1st round they couldn't, but the second round was theirs to take. This hurts, as the Sheik does twice the damage the Daltons do. Round 3 was another success for Sheik, will they overturn the Daltons at the end?
Round 4 was the dividing point in this match. Another hit could have been the end for the Daltons, but the numbers were on their side. Musk Sheik missed there attack, and this was a painful miss, as in Round 5 it was time for the devastating High Noon move of the Dueling Dalton and Musk Sheik could not stand up again!
Speed 1 : 0 Strength
Main event:
Chase Martin with his manager Paulie Savage vs. Billy Mayhem with his manager Ivan Scheister
In the main match we have Chase with Paulie against Billy with Ivan. I would put my horses on Billy.
Chase missed his first move and the low health Billy is doing his best to wear him down.
Chase missed his second attack as well. He is still in the game, but it gets more tense as Billy started to use his finishers!
Chase finally found a grip on Billy. But Billy brings in another finisher, and Chase has only 5 Health left, while Billy 4.
Billy makes his finishers, while Chase can't land a hit for another 2 rounds. What a match! And finally a pin happens, but Woooh Paulie Savage steps in and distracts all and everyone, soon after he's kicked out of the arena. Chase stands up, but has no health left. How will he manage to continue the fight? He get's a hit in to Billy, and is one finisher away from victory.
But Billy didn't give him this opportunity. While Chase tries to get his strength together for the next round he looses Billy from his view. Noone on the left. Noone on the right. Noone Up... ohhh f* a Sky High Splash! That's it. Chase is down, Billy wins the fight!
The final score:
And the fight will keep coming!
