WOO land was announced today. There were already hints in the last days in the discord around them, so I had some time to prepare. Here are a few thoughts you might consider, if you would like to be in the WOO Land Whitelist

Land Whitelist Requirements

Now what you should know, if you want some:
- There is a Pre-sale and general sale for the first 9k plots
- General sale will only happen if there are land plots left after Pre-Sale
- To be eligible for the pre-sale you need to be Whitelisted.
- White list requirements:
- Have enough WOO assets
- Be in the top 200 eligible accounts who are interested in the sale. (i.e. Staff accounts are not eligible; Some users might ignore land sale, so their places will be freed up)

White List tiers according to assets:

Yes, you read it right. There is a chance that all plots will be sold during pre-sale, and none of the plots will be sold on general sale. This will not be the only WOO plot sale, but this will be the only one before game release. So the owners of these plots will be the first to earn from plots.
Due to this it is also encourage for potential buyers to think about the option to check with whales on possible pools - Whale gets your funds to buy additional plots, which they transfer to you.
Let's not lie to ourselves, this is a pure trust exercise. There were some positive examples on Hive seen in the Splinterlands community, but always be aware of the dangers of such deals and make sure you do business with trustworthy individuals!

Best price for a ticket
Calculating the best current price of the assets tells you, which asset is going for the best value. What should you buy from your hard earned money, if you want to get into the top 200 asset owners for Land pre-sale.
Here is how I do it. I write up the asset, how many tickets I get from 1 asset, and their price on the market. By dividing the Tickets with the price I can see how many tickets I will get for 1$. The higher the Ticket/$ value the better is the deal.

Here you can see, that the best value for the USD currently comes from SB Rare cards, SB Staff cards and SB Common cards ;)
Should I open packs?
Now let's check, what packs would give after they are opened:

So the best packs to open are Alpha and Reward packs.
Alpha packs provide you 5 cards, so 5 chances to get a better card then a common.
Reward packs give you a Legendary card or a Lore card, so they are the best to get opened for a short term increase for your White List points.
Why do I speak about the short time increase?
Unopened packs in your account provide you with airdrop WOO. This might increase if additional packs are opened. The pre-sale should happen according to rumors somewhere in February. So till then we have at least 50 days left.
Current numbers are:

Single cards (except for GB staff cards in December) don't provide a huge boost in mining power. So it is wise to think of what would be better for the long run. Wait with the opening and enjoying the airdrops or open and hope for a good card for mining wins!
Accumulating Staked $WOO
Partially we started the topic already, but let's recap:
Staked 500 $WOO is worth 1 White List ticket.
So earning $WOO from all the options in the WOO universe is a great option to get onto the Whitelist. Let me remind you of a few options:

- WOO mining (Raffle with NFT cards)
- WOO Liquidity Pools
- WOO APR from staked $WOO
- WOO HP Delegation
- WOO Jeopardy and AMA events on Twitch once a week (announced in the Discord channel)

- WOO Twitter/Peakd competitions
