As more people start playing the game, one of the main ways players can earn "passively" is through a very important, but oft neglected, component of the game itself — LAND!
But first, just to recap for those who are new, WHAT IS LAND? Here's a quick, but non exhaustive summary. Do forgive me if I've missed some details out too.
In WOO, land plays a crucial role in the game's economy and operations. Players, as owners of wrestling organizations, can own land plots where wrestling shows are organized. These land plots generate revenue for their owners through dividends earned from the shows held on them.
The land's value and income potential are influenced by factors like population, fanbase interest in wrestling, and wealth. Upgrading land and its facilities, like stadiums and concessions, can enhance revenue. Additionally, land has a depletion mechanic, encouraging players to move shows to different plots over time to maintain high earnings.
It is quite a mouthful and can be quite a bit to take in all at once, but simply put, all matches have to take place on WOOLAND and the owner will get a portion of the earnings from it too!
That is where the "passive earnings" I've mentioned earlier come from.
However, some land owners might be wondering, where are my $WOO earnings then? Take for example this question posed recently in the WOO Discord.
"Hi, i own like 30+ plots including 2x fully maxed 9star #1815 + #2272 , everything is staked too, however i cant see any rewards earned and i can see the rewards being live for quite some time now.
Does this mean nobody has visited my lands yet?"
The answer is sometimes something really simple. Take this response from @bookerman:
"You have the lands staked? Maybe no one traveled there yet. List your upgraded lands and other players will start going there.
Sometimes people don't know if the 9 stars are upgraded so they go to the ones they know that are upgraded."
TLDR? Just STAKE your land or else no player will be able to use it at all. Also, advertise it (on Discord perhaps?) so as to build "brand awareness".
