Recent influx of new subscribers to the WOO community

I am keeping an eye on the amount of people subscribing to the WOO community on Hive. Last weeks it stayed at around 180-185 persons. But lately, let's say +/- since the moment of the city upgrade announcement, there are a couple of new persons who subscribed to the WOO community. In my opinion this is really great, as new people subscribing, probably means that these persons are interested in staying up to date with the project. This reminded me of when I arrived as a total unknowing person arriving in the WOO community.

I discovered WOO around january 2022. They were holding give-aways on Twitter where you could win GF splinterlands cards. As at that time I was very skeptical towards Twitter giveaways, I didn't give much attention to the project. As the giveaways were repeated, I finally ended up to try my luck. If I wouldn't win, it wouldn't harm me neither. After a while, I decided to start reading the white-paper aka the dirtsheet and the numerous articles. I skipped their first sale as I was skeptical about investing in a game that wasn't even working.

The time that the raven sale was there, I bought about 30 packs, as I didn't have a lot of funds and it still was a long time before the game would launch.

The more time I spent in their discord, the more positive my feeling towards the project became. As they had some dev's who were and still are delivering good work, @BookerMan is helpfull when you have any question about the game or the team or wrestling or whatever you could imagine.

So slow but steady, I was sure that I wanted to be a part of this community. To be honest, I didn't regret doing so. At the moment, I'm even more excited as the game launch is coming really close as it's planned for Q3 2023. :D

What is WOO?

WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They aim to bring back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The launch for the game is aimed to be in Q3 of 2023. To be able to launch, they already sold out 60k WOOalpha packs through various sales through 2022.
