El servicio que le prestan a la humanidad los bosques son muy importantes ya que estos ayudan a extraer el perjudicial DIOXIDO DE CARBONO, siendo los arboles muy importantes en el ciclo del carbono. El problema del calentamiento global es un problema real que a cambiado de manera significativa el clima mundial, y aunque es verdad que se tiene evidencia de ciclos del calentamiento de la tierra, en el pasado, sin intervención del hombre, la gran diferencia es que estos han ocurrido en periodos de la tierra mas largos que le dan chance a las especies de adaptarse a estos cambios, este nuevo ciclo de calentamiento es distinto, por que la responsabilidad del mismo por la humanidad, ha hecho que este sea a una velocidad aun mayor, lo que puede ocacionar que este cambio tenga una consecuencia de un mayor peligro de producir extinciones masivas al no darle tiempo a las especies de adaptarse al mismo al ser muy veloz.
El otro problema es que los bosques suelen ser importantes para proteger los nacientes de agua que son importantes fuentes de agua potable, además de el hogar de muchas especies de insectos, mamíferos y plantas que son importantes para encontrar medicinas para poder encontrar la cura de muchas enfermedades.
Es por esto que la recuperación de los bosques es un elemento de vital importancia para la humanidad, ya que los mismos nos brindan un gran servicio.
