Greetings to everyone in the Top Family community! Today I'm joining in here to participate again in this TBT Thursday. I'll be leaving the contest link at the bottom of the post. That said, let's get started.
It was the middle of the year 2021 when my friend Francelis decided to travel to Colombia to start a new life. That news was quite disturbing because although she was very happy because she could see another country, meet other people, meet her partner and have a better future with respect to work (quality of life) and so on, it was painful to think that I would no longer be able to see her and it was also going to be very difficult for her to see constantly. The latter was a fact that worried her a lot but she knew she had to make the decision to leave so she could also help her parents. So that year we tried to share as much as possible.

Era mitad del año 2021 cuando mi amiga Francelis decidió viajar a Colombia para comenzar una nueva vida. Esa noticia fue bastante inquietante porque aunque ella estaba muy feliz porque podría ver otro país, conocer otras personas, encontrarse con su pareja y tener un mejor futuro con respecto al trabajo (calidad de vida) y demás, si que era doloroso pensar en que ya no iba a poder verla y también iba a ser muy difícil que ella pudiera ver constantemente. Eso último era un hecho que a ella le preocupaba bastante pero sabía que tenía que tomar la decisión de irse para también poder ayudar a sus papás. Así que ese año tratamos de compartir tanto como se podía.
A few days before she left, we decided to meet at my house and share for the weekend. Eating, watching movies and talking a lot. At one point I remembered that my partner had his camera, so I took it and we started taking pictures. I took some portraits of him because I wanted to keep his little face in those pictures. Then my partner took pictures of us, so we could remember this moment of goodbye where we knew it was very likely that we would not see each other again (at least not for a long time). My friend Fran left that month and let me know that things were going well. As soon as she and I met again in 2024 in Colombia, a very beautiful encounter. Unos días antes de que ella se marchara, nosotras decidimos reunirnos en mi casa y compartir durante el fin de semana. Comer, ver películas y hablar bastante. En un momento dado recordé que mi pareja tenía su cámara fotográfica, así que la tomé y comenzamos a tomar fotos. Le hice algunos retratos porque quería guardar su carita en esas imágenes. Luego mi pareja nos tomó fotografía a nosotras, para poder recordar este momento de despedida dónde sabíamos que sería muy probable que no nos veríamos de nuevo (por lo menos en mucho tiempo). Mi amiga Fran se marcho ese mes y me hizo saber que las cosas iban bien. A momento ella y yo nos volvimos a ver en el 2024 en Colombia, siendo encuentro muy bello.
