En esta espléndida mañana dominguera, amanecí muy motivada para volver a participar en este divertido concurso TopFiveFamily Observa Piensa Escribe , que considero constituye una excelente y divertida oportunidad para ejercitar nuestra mente, especialmente, en lo que se refiere a agudizar la capacidad de observación, memoria y creatividad.
Ahora, sin más preámbulos, voy a lo que me trae aquí, mi entrada al concurso:
A primera vista, este viejo y accidentado tractor de color rojo, me trasladó hasta Barbacoas, pintoresco pueblito ubicado en el estado Aragua de Venezuela. Pueblo llanero y agrícola, que curiosamente se ha hecho más famoso porque allí nacieron Simón Díaz y su hermano Joselo. Ambos fallecidos, el primero fue un emblemático cantante y compositor venezolano, conocido mundialmente por su composición Caballo viejo y el segundo, fue un actor, cantante y humorista de la televisión venezolana en su época. ¡Bueno!, como les decía, este pueblo es más conocido, por ser la cuna de estos dos hermanos que por las típicas actividades llaneras,que allí se desarrollan, tales como la agricultura.
En Barbacoas, hasta hace algunos años, mi consuegro tenía un taller mecánico especializado, nada menos y nada más que, en la reparación de tractores y todo tipo de vehículos utilizados para la actividad agrícola y pecuaria. Por supuesto, la primera vez que lo visité, allí vi varios tractores en condiciones muy parecidas a la de este tractor rojo que hoy ocupa mi atención y al igual que aquella vez, esto me hace imaginar miles de historias que pudiera haber vivido ese tractor, en su amplio trajinar por esos campos y amplios sembradíos.
Me vienen a la mente preguntas como: cuánta alegría habría despertado en su dueño, cuando tuvo la gran oportunidad de comprarlo y de conducirlo; cuántos kilómetros de sembradíos habrá recorrido,de cuántas historias habrá sido testigo. Y pare de imaginar... de todo aquel mundo que para mi no es muy familiar, por haberme criado y vivido en la ciudad, lejos del campo y de todo lo que conlleva la vida en esos lugares, pero que imagino y me permite pensar en qué cosas podrían ahí pasar, quizás un poco influenciada por las novelas de Rómulo Gallegos, como Canaima, La trepadora y la archiconocida Doña Bárbara, todas novelas cuyos argumentos se desarrollan en el llano venezolano.
Ahora, que veo a este tractor rojo, ya viejo y sin una rueda, deseo que esté en un taller mecánico, que sea tan bueno o mejor que aquel que tenía mi consuegro, para que de allí salga como nuevo a seguir en sus andanzas por el vital mundo de los labriegos y cultivadores de la tierra o del campo.

At first glance, this old and accident-ridden red tractor took me to Barbacoas, a picturesque little town located in the Aragua state of Venezuela. In Barbacoas, until a few years ago, my son's father-in-law had a mechanic workshop specialized, nothing less and nothing more than, in the repair of tractors and all kinds of vehicles used for agricultural and livestock activity. Of course, the first time I visited him, there I saw several tractors in very similar conditions to this red tractor that occupies my attention today, and just like that time, this makes me imagine thousands of stories that this tractor could have lived, in its wide journey through those fields and large crops.
Questions come to my mind such as: How much joy would it have awakened in its owner when he had the great opportunity to buy it and drive it, how many kilometers of fields would it have traveled, how many stories would it have witnessed? And stop imagining... of all that world that is not very familiar to me, having grown up and lived in the city, far from the countryside and everything that life in those places entails, but that I imagine and allows me to think about what things could happen there, perhaps a little influenced by the novels of Romulo Gallegos, such as Canaima, La trepadora and the well-known Doña Bárbara, all novels whose plots are set in the Venezuelan plains.
Now that I see this red tractor, now old and without a wheel, I wish it were in a mechanic's workshop, as good or better than the one my son's father-in-law had, so that it could leave there as good as new to continue in its wanderings in the vital world of farmers and cultivators of the land or the countryside.
