Hola me presento!
This small sized map pack completely took me by surprise when I started playing it. Experience told me to expect nothing extra-ordinary or original from a first release mapper. Space Prisoner broke that general rule, showing that Edusan is one of the very few first release mappers that can pull off something as original as this. The care and attention that is paid to detail and the believabBoldle atmospheres you encounter keep you immersed in the game until the end credits subtly let you know to quit. The brushwork and design layout is top notch, creating perfect environments for consistent gameplay.
All in all, if you are looking for something different from the typical grunt-fest-type-mod, download this pack. You will not be disappointed, which is why I am giving it a silver medal.

My ART through my life
might sound funny but its KINDA varied along the years
Im 37 years old and for almost half of those year i've been EDUSAN on the web. Mostly used for the different online games i've played my whole life (from Diablo 1 on battle.net to now on the blockchain games), but sometimes i've done stuff that is not necesarilly related to PLAYING the games
I will start from my very first "Big" artistic expression that i can show evidences of!
Doing a HALF LIFE 1 Mod
Half life was a videogame released in 1998 by Valve (which most of us now know because of STEAM). It was a revolutionary First person shooter at that time, and definetely one of my most beloved games of all time. I loved it so much back when i was 15/16 years old, that I decided to start playing with the level creator tool from that time (Worldcraft)
I was PRETTY OBSESSED with it. I really like experimenting with 3d environments and learning the different ways to get things done in the editor. After some years doing stuff for fun (i would say 1 year dedicating a lot of time to learning stuff), I decided to do and release and MOD for it.
MOD = Modification. You take the code of the base game, tweak it a bit, add your own artistic assets and release something new. Most common example... Counter Strike was born as a Mod of Half life
Of course a REAL mod would need a programmer, which i was not, it would need an animator, which i was not, it would need a texturer, which i was not, a UX designer, which i was not, a modeller (for weapons and enemies), which i was not, and a Level designer, WHICH INDDED I WAS!
So I always felt like calling my "mod" a mod was an overstatement so I always called MAP PACK, because the only different thing from the base game was the maps.
I created 3 levels with a basic story, downloaded the textures and reused weapons, items and enemies from the standard game. I was more focused on doing the levels look cool and the gameplay being fun.
Took me less than 2 months. It was called:
SPACE PRISONER
I sent it to a very well known Half life mod review site from that time (ten-four, now extint) and it got a PRETTY GOOD review and a silver medal.
It was released if i remember correctly in 2001/2022 and upto this day i still receive emails from people that download it from somewhere and liked it (or got stuck somewhere), which is something that fills me with JOY honestly
And here there is a walkthrough in Youtube if you dont want to go through the hassle to download all the files needed to play it yourself (I need to add that I had nothing to do with this guy wanting to upload it to youtube, cheers to him. Although i never liked that his walkthrough is like SUPER BRIGHT, when i did it I did my best trying to do a good atmosphere, somewhat lost in having everything so bright)
Here are some parts of the review done on the previously mentioned ten-four website

Because of that mod and some other unreleaesd stuff I was contacted by a guy trying to do a videogame (when INDIE DEVELOPERS WERE REALLY INDIE)
That will be next Part of ....MY LIFE THROUGH MY ART!
Did you like the post? what would you have done different? Leave me some feedback to improve it for next time
